Brook lunges into a leaderly protection mode and claws at Kody. "Get away from him!!" She screeches. "Andes will come, Blaze, Andes will come. I know him. He'll come. He'll come. He'll come..." She repeats this the same way, sobbing over Blaze.
'I let him go. He's using Vine Swing, an Earth-special Ability, so he'll be there quickly. Just wanted to let you know.'
Andes arrives within a minute. "Blaze! Blaze, what has this MONSTER done to you?! I'll get wood, you just stay with us, okay?" He leaves for some trees.

"He's not gonna get what he needs in time..." Kody shot into the forest and came back only seconds later with a huge pile of wood then into the link he said, "I'm coming to get you so be prepared in human form so I can carry you back."

'Um, okay.' I change to **unreal** human form and wait.
Andes rushes back over and starts doing what looks like gnawing on the wood. After a little while, Kody realizes he's chewing off thin strips that easily burn. "Hang in there, Blaze, I'm getting it..."
"Hurry, Andes, we're losing him!!" Brook cried. She looked around and spotted some cattails by the water. "Look! Those will burn easily and quickly, right?!"
"Yes, good thinking, go get them!"
"Okay!" She ran over at incredible speed and returned just as quickly. "Are these ones alright?!"
"They'll do finely!" Andes ripped them apart and sprinkled them across the greying Blaze. They warmed, but would not catch fire.

Kody looked at how panicked they were and decided to help a little first. He shifted once more, into a fire wolf this time. His body lit up with crackling fire.

Brook is wary, but moves out of the way so Kody can get to Blaze. He is almost completely ash-grey now.
Suddenly, a rush of wind blew through. A white blur stopped by Blaze and called in a female voice, "Blaze! I heard the S.O.S. to Andes and broke free of Kirmapri's control. Here..." Cirrus caused a small wind, fanning the flames.

Kody looked at her nodded and stepped closer to Blaze in an attempt to help.

"You shifted to human form so your still in control of a body right?" Kody asked into the link.

Sparks fly but none catch flame. After a few minutes, Brook feels Blaze's paw, and bursts into another round of sobs. "He's cold..." She murmurs. "HE'S COLD!!"
Cirrus stops the wind.
Andes stops rearranging the cattail pieces.
Everyone hangs their heads (well, this could include or exclude Kody). A moment of silence falls, only broken by Brook's occasional sniffs.

Kody stays silent not knowing how to react then through the link, "How is it possible that just walking into a shadow could kill him?!" he practically hissed, "What exactly did you write in the story?"

The look in Cirrus's eyes change, then she speaks in the link, 'Your friend, Kirmapri, wrote that darkness destroys light and the cold destroys heat. By Blaze walking straight into cold and darkness, it put out the light and heat of his fire.' That is all she says. She looks down at Blaze again, tearing up.

"I'm sorry Cirrus. I didn't even realize that he could... just by walking through me..." Kody fell silent once more.
