Has anyone looked at the as concerning breeding? That's currently emwhats going to crash the economy atm.

While yes, these players are no longer able to access the pets, many still did spend countless hours getting these themed and special pets. Some even paid actual money for them. To just set those up for others to use for breeding/buy seems wrong. It's similar to the many, many old players who no longer play and have tons of old and rare themes - setting their pets up for others to use wouldn't be the solution. It feels a bit like swooping in to profit off of another's work. I feel like instead hosting a special even to bring back old themed would be better, and not in a "weel of themed" kind of way. Maybe every fest a couple of species could have an older theme reintroduced. This way it's possible for others to collect the theme that is rare to access while still allowing the players to keep what they earned.

This is a good way of handling things, and possibly not even just for unfortunate situations like this. There's a lot of themes/trait configurations that are kind of impossible/extremely expensive for newer players to access in any fashion.

I just want to say, this is terrifying and I can't imagine having to deal with it. I am so so sorry this has happened, this is giving me trembling just reading through it. I've recently been trying to be active again.... and seeing this is a major shock. ;-; I hope site life can clear up from here. We can regrow a healthy community

i told myself i won't get involved or care about what people thought of me here any longer, but here i am. if they truly care about transparency it won't get deleted. i have little faith it will stay up i just hope it's on the forum long enough because no one banned can share. there's so much but these are teh two things that the biggest concerns

doxxing: none of Krinadon's personal information EVER got shared. idk what screenshots he was shown in this situation when it happened in december, but he hasn't provided them or responded to the banned player's appeal. the person who was banned for doxxing said in the server that they were looking at information about the site and stumbled across personal information. they did not say what it was. they did not say how they found it. they said clearly they absolutely would not share, in the server, in discord dm, or anywhere else. emphasizing this happened in december. had they done anything malicious with the information, they could have. they were still active in the server after their ban and could have shared. Krinadon, if you still have those screenshots, i'd advise you look at them again.

i do remember when someone find Fae's ig, because it was public at the time and it was followed by the official sylestia ig account. they did look through, and made unnecesarily negative comments about it. that got shut down by a server mod who told the player not to. nothing further came from that. if more harassment happened, i'm deeply sorry you went through it, but it wasn't associated with my group of friends.

2. swatting: the part that was removed for Krinadon's privacy provides critical context. obviously i'm not going to say exactly what it says. but they have a close irl friend who Krinadon also knows irl, and the now banned player said that "if he seriously hurts my friend, i will show up at his door"
yes it's a joke in very bad taste, but again. context makes a big difference.

We have removed the screenshots as
we feel that there is no more benefit from leaving them up.

last thing i want to add is discords were shared because friends had their contact cut from being banned. not to "sway people to their side"

Hey Krin, sorry if this has been asked before, but what will happen to banned users' pets, if anything? I personally would hate to see them all get malnourished and suffer. Will they be released?

So much speculation that is none of our business. But this was posted in the first place to keep others safe, and I don't appreciate all the drama this is bringing. The chat is divided, and I am trying to figure out why. A ban is a ban and appears for a good reason. Could you explain why you must bring any of this up because it is not our responsibility or business? He said, she said, but apparently, people did stuff that went out of some boundary. Even with friends, you need to have those, and sometimes you must make tough calls. These comments were either made by kids or people with too much time on their hands. Could you explain why I should care about them? They don't know me, and I don't even want to know them, even more so now.

I follow the rules and do not stir things up on my days off.

I want solutions, but I don't know these guys or what they did. The economy is whatever, and the breeding is whatever to me. I work on my projects anyway.

I would, if possible, like clarification of where the line is drawn on what is and isn't okay offsite and what will be pursued further. On site has clearly stated rules, but offsite it's different. This is a business as stated previously, and Krinadon/Faiona are the business owners. That is a fact. But this bit here does have a lot of users worried.

I did read that some of the users mentioned in the main post were not only just casually talking about wrecking the economy offsite, but doing other things on site, such as messaging players and recruiting them and supplying said users with information (whether that was accurate or falsified information), and that in itself is something that isn't okay. It's also been mentioned several users were in fact warned of their behavior previously after one user was banned. If that is the case, there was in fact, in the very least one warning given out to some of the users involved.

Also, while catching up on the thread, I've seen a few comments directed vaguely at other users for their comments and/or responses that have been on the borderline of becoming personal/rude.

I personally believe that we shouldn't be judging each other for our own individual thoughts/feelings/opinions/ect on the situation, but be judging the situation that's been brought forward, what was said, and what actions were taken - on both sides. In a neutral way if possible. There's a LOT of information that has been shared and is continuing to be shared - stuff that's been building for months and months it sounds like. It's completely reasonable to expect there will be various perspectives due to the fact that this community is smaller than some and in one way or another, unless you were keeping to yourself, that you've come across one of the users spoken about here, or a friend of theirs, or perhaps were/are a friend of the people in questions. There will of course be feelings involved for some individuals. However, we as a community should be respectful/mindful of one another in our responses to each other, even if we may disagree with something someone else has said.

Lastly, I support the idea for a wheel that offers some of the pets that were taken out of the community with this situation. I do not think we should be using the pets of players, regardless of whether they are banned or not, but I do quite like the idea of a wheel as offering the pets that will be missed in an alternative way will help alleviate the blow dealt to the market/breeding plans/ect.

What a mess.

I've been here a long time, and seen a lot of prominent players come and go. Of the people I know are gone now, I knew and liked a lot of them. But I'm not here to comment on who does or doesn't "deserve" to be banned, because that reasoning is between the admin and the banned player. The point of the issue is, the owners of a business felt personally and financially attacked by a group of customers and took action to protect themselves and their livelihood.

Pro-tip: If you are so fed up with the mechanics of a game that you feel the need to "vent" to this degree, then maybe the game in question is not for you anymore. It's okay to stop playing a game you loved in the past if it doesn't bring you joy anymore. This is the point at which a mature person disengages.

If you can't accept that, and decide that you have the right to change the way the game works for thousands of other people, then the owner of the game is well within their rights to remove your ability to affect their source of income.

If you can't accept that, and decide to belittle and harass the owner of the game, then you need to do some serious thinking about why you want to hurt others. Everyone is entitled to their own physical and mental well-being, even if you personally don't like them. It does not matter if what you said was a "joke" if the person it was aimed at didn't find it funny. The right to swing your fist stops when someone else gets hurt.

I honestly don't know how to feel. I'm disappointed that a community I've always found so lovely had this going on under the surface. I will miss the people who are gone. I am glad I never saw this side of them. I'm frustrated that some people seemed to hate the game so much that they wanted to ruin it for everyone else. I'm exasperated and angry and sad. And if I'm feeling all of that as a user of the game, just imagine how Krin and Fai must feel right now. The lack of sympathy I am seeing from so many people is absurd.

I'm rambling now, but if I didn't express this somewhere it would keep me awake at night. It probably still will.

Everyone, please take care of yourselves. The world is full of enough negativity as it is. Let yourself enjoy the things you love, and step away from them when they stop being a positive element in your life. You deserve to spend your time on things that make you happy.
