The inspiration is the traditional colors of St. Patrick's Day being green and gold.

This little boy is a Lucky Sorrel Nixi. Inspired by the redwoods and sorrel growing all around my house. We hold our St. Patricks' day luncheon under the trees, and usually end up setting fire to something... pretty sure pyromania is genetic by now.
