Dawnpelt ran up, "Yes Autumnstar?"
"I need you to groom Ashpup."
"Okay."
They groomed the pups and prepared them for their ceremony.

"Let all wolves old enough catch their own prey! Gather beneath high-ledge for a clan meeting!" Autumnstar howled. She stood on a rock below the Highledge prepared for the meeting. The warriors and apprentces gathered in the clearing while the elders gathered outside their den. Talonclaw and Stumblefoot made their way to the rock and sat down.
"As you should all know, three pups have come to be six moons." Snowpup and her brothers held their noses high and proud as their mother spoke. "So now I shall be proud to name them apprentices. Ashpup, Bramblepup, Snowpup. Step forward." On their mothers command, the pups took a step forward. "You three have become six moons and are ready to receive your apprentice names."
Autumnstar rose her muzzle to face the sky. "I, Autumnstar leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these three pups." She looked back at the pups. "Are you three ready to learn the ways of your warrior ancestors?"
"I do" the pups said in harmony.
"Then by the warrior code, I name you Ashpaw, Bramblepaw, Snowpaw. May starclan light your pathes. Dawnpelt, are you ready to take on an apprentice?"
"I am." the tortiouseshell she-wolf barked.
"Then I make you mentor of Ashpup. I hope you will pass all you know to him. Starclan honors your bravoury." Ashpaw and Dawnpelt touch noses and step back. "Dovewhisker, you have trained Alloefoot and Fawnhover. Are you ready to take on another apprentice?"
"I am." Dovewhisker says.
"Then I hope you will pass your knowledge down to Snowpaw. Starclan honors your intelligence and agility." Dovewhisker and Snowpaw touch noses and step back as well. "Spiderwebs, you have been trained well by Cloverdawn. I assume you as well are ready to take on your own apprentice?"
"I am." Spiderwebs mewls.
"Then by the power of Starclan, I grant you Bramblepaw as your apprentice. I expect that you will teach him all you know." As Autumnstar finished, Bramblepaw and Spiderwebs touch noses. The clan chanted the names of the new apprentices.
"Ashpaw! Bramblepaw! Snowpaw!"

As the new apprentices ran off with their mentors for their first rays of training, Autumnstar gathered Renfeather and Kitapelt. "Renfeather, do you think Spottedpaw is ready for her final assesment?" she asked when they were alone.
