No. it will target new accounts registered during the Advent Calendar and then cross check some other criteria to determine if anything was abused.

Yea - it was intentional. I figured I'd give people a second chance to claim it in case they missed it from the Calendar.

The Merlin Teddy is available from the Snow Exchange, Snow Wars, and Winter Wonderland to give players multiple options.

The Krampy Teddy is still being saved and is not available yet.

I will be looking for very specific criteria. Those who just play with family/friends from the same IP have nothing to worry about.

I also manually ban the accounts one by one on a case by case basis. Script just gives me accounts to review.

We do this like every year. =P

And, if I have any doubt, I will contact the account owner(s) and discuss the matter with them.

I just have no leads at this point. =( Our Host has investigated multiple times, even looking up traffic from affected players, and can't find anything abnormal. They just simply see the timeouts - but can't figure out any reason for why they are happening.

The pages that cause the issues use the same redirect code as all of the other pages - yet only they are affected.

All players use these pages/features, but only a handful - the same handful - experience issues w/ the pages.

The issues also only happen every so often - seemingly random.

On top of that, those who are affected share virtually nothing in common... different devices, different browsers, different ISPs, different locations.

I don't know what else to try. =( The fact that it happens on the Trade Broker and Social page kinda is understandable - they're old.

But it also happens with Snow Wars, Proficiency Page, and sometimes newer features like the building features.


If nothing is discovered sooner, I would hope that completely rebuilding the Site would somehow fix whatever the issue is. I just don't know what else to do other than massive overhauls of how data is submitted and processed by the server - which isn't really possible outside of doing a whole site rebuild.
