He exhales, taking a moment to calm himself. "Just the four of you..? You'd better be good 'cause, like it or not, you're our last hope now."
He doesn't look happy, but it's obvious he doesn't have any other choice. "Name's Daavun. I'm the new spokesman of our clan since our last was killed. What do you need?"
*More arrows for one, ask Numbat what supplies we might need to set a few snares for orcs, also I want to have a council of war that way we know each others plans. Does anyone here know how to bend a bow well enough to hit a moving target? Also we need the location of the orcs if possible, * Asteria explains, *This wont be easy.*

He looks a bit overwhelmed for a second. "We're just simple snow-clearers, we don't have any fancy arrows. We're fighting with pickaxes and spades right now." He scratches his head. "Well... I don't know about no council, but ask me for any information you need and I'll send you to some of the others if necessary.
"The orc camp? Uh... I'm not sure, but they always come from the west," he says, pointing the slope by the mountain path. "Speak to Havdur. He claims to have seen it."
Another dwarf cautiously takes a fearful Numbat to their stores to get him the materials he needs.
That seems to reassure Knight. From how tightly he's hugging the toy, no doubt there would have been blood shed if anyone had tried to take it from him.
"Yes... that lot destroyed my cart and stole my goods. I'll need to sort that out; try to reassure my customers," Balthur muses. He turns to you. "So we're fine with going back to the Adventurer's Crossroads then? You can get supplies, jobs and someone to take a message to your family if you like."
You've completed a quest: Finding Balthur and Knight.
"Yep, sounda good. Huh, i wonder if theyre still out for me for breaking and atealing." Nicote chuckles.
"Now, whats a good way to say "hey mother and father, its your estranged son who probably caused a minor ruckus, hows it going?" He muttered. Funny how his big achivement is making a clan go nuts looking for a nonexistant piece of jewelry.

*A council of war is just when the leaders of a side meet to discuss strategies and information. Do you know if anyone here knows how to make a pitfall trap or any kind of trap big enough to catch an orc? Is anyone here good at stealth or spying,* Asteria asks waiting a few minutes before going to see Havdur, *Excuse me are you Havdur? I was told you saw the orcs camp. Would you mind telling me where it is and how you managed to see it?* she kept her voice calm and sincere hoping the dwarf would answer. Asteria had figured that if Havdur had stumbled across the camp he would not have survived so maybe he had seen them in the distance or had the stealth to avoid being detected.

"Breaking and stealing?" Balthur sputters. "When did... hmph, I better not ask. As for your message... I don't know your family, but I'd always say not to be too hard on yourself. I'm sure if they've been given some kind of ransom letter they'll be glad to hear from you."
Your party is nearing the end of the Phoenix Pass, where the guards you encountered before were. You'll have to get past them again to escape.
"We can't stop now," Spork says. "They won't give up chase easily. If they get to Pass guards before us, they block entrance and we have no chance of getting away."

You've started a quest: Under Siege
"Oh, okay," Daavun says. "Well, ain't none of us had experience with this sort of thing before. But I think I catch your meaning with a 'pitfall' - I'll arrange for a few pits to be dug at the western edge of the camp. You can check them later.
"I'll try to get my most careful workers together. I'll gather them at the centre of our camp."
You find Havdur at the edge of the camp. "Uh... yep, that's me." He doesn't want to be here, but you're convincing enough to make him stay. Charisma successful. "Ehh... yep, I did. At least... I saw where it probably is. It's sort of to the west. I probably couldn't find it again, sorry, I just sort of stumbled upon it."
It's not enough to go on. He's averting his gaze and wringing his hands together agitatedly.
"He does know," Crimson yips. "He's holding back."

*I figured you wouldnt talk to me but I hoped you would. I wont tell why you were in that area but I do need to know how you found the found the camp. If I dont know where the camp is we could fall into their trap or very possibly worse. I understand being scared but unless you want the orcs to win we need that information. Or did you see something we should know about?* Asteria gently rubs Crimsons ears, *Would you be willing to check on Numbat for me Crimson please?*

"Lets just go for it, if anything ill bribe them with more food.i got plenty at the momwnt." Nicote grimaces. This is going to be....fun. He tries to see how many guards are there and if theyre the same ones from beofre.

"Yeah!" she says enthusiastically, bounding off with Emberpaw. "We'll be right back!"
"I know, the orcs're gonna come and destroy the camp," he shivers. "It's not like I saw much. It was dark, and I was trying to run away in the last attack. Then I came across this cave and saw goblin labourers working there with a couple of orcs guarding their camp outside, so I ran straight back for the end of the fight."
He sighs before continuing. "But you're gonna make me take you there, 'cause there's no way I can give you half decent directions, and that just means I die sooner. What if they leave us alone now..? Then I'll have died for no reason."

"Wait Goblin labourers? Did you see what they were doing," Asteria asks, "and no for the molment I'm not going to ask you to show me where the camp is. Thank you for trying to be brave. In the meantime you need to tell the others what you found especially the leader of this group that way we know what could come."
