Monarch Butterfly Aeridini: Monarchs are truely gorgeous, and it's so cool to witness. Their migration is breath-taking when seen.
-

Black Widow Sylvorpa: Sure, there's already a theme for this, but whatever. I've always been arachnophobic, so spiders scare me. Black widows are even worse because they're dangerous!
-

Cute Beetle Draeyl: This thing is just so weird and beautiful. That mouth makes it SO cute. SERIOUSLY, I NEED IT!
-
Revision for Animallover:
The constant yellow doesn't fit. It gives the feeling that the whole insect is a light. If you look at the image, you'll see shades of red too. Also, where did flower vines come from? That mutation is a weird choice. However, you stiull had some good things too! The choice of Ferrikki is a great inclusion, due to your bug choice. The orb is a great light as well! |

Chosen Insect: Atlas Moth

If it's not ok for me to post multiple reference pictures, I'll take them off.
I think these moths look beautiful! They have a giat 25.4 centimetre wingspan, which is almost as long as a ruler! The tips of their wings look kind of like the head of a snake, and that's a little creepy but also pretty cool. Because of their snakelike markings, they are also called Cobra Moths. Atlas moths can be found in India and South East Asia and are farmed for their silk.

Critique of Animaspectra's Cute Beetle Draeyl
I like the overall mutation choices for this design, but I think they coloring needs to include less of the bright flashy colors, like the green and the violet. My reasoning for this is that the green on the bug is more of an accent/or trick of the light than an actual section of the bug like the orange and indigo are. Therefore I thik your design would look really great with more dark blues than lime greens. I struggled to get a good reference for what I think it should look like, but I tried. Here's my take on your design! I hope the critique was helpful, even if you don't choose to implement any of my ideas. ^-^

Ah! I forgot to ping!

Well I guess this week is cursed bug images, anyways here's mine
Megarhyssa Macrurus
Which doesn't have a common name except Stump Stabber because that makes sense.

----- To Auria -----
Oh man Atlas Moths! Those guys are really cool! Don't really see much that needs to be critiqued except maybe the colors. Couple of them are a bit to bright or dark. Also maybe find a way to incorporate the black/white markings since those really draw the eye in the reference photos. Though most of the trait options seem to be very limited on having one color added to the wings...
Original vs Me playing around with genes and colors cause it's a really cool design

Just added it! (They reserved a spot before me so I was waiting for them to finish, but also didn't want to get ninja'd again) |

Hey! Thanks for the critique! I didn't notice the black and white before, I was more focused on the dark blue and red stripes, so that was really helpful. ^-^ |
