I quietly whisper to Wysteria in the language of cats((since I can turn into a cat, I guess its fair that I can speak like a cat, right?)) to go to the tree with the cave of roots and wait for me there. She leaps from my arms, landing silently on her cat's feet, and leaves through my open window. I change into a gecko with scales that shift with my surroundings and scurry to my desk, hiding on the underside of it with my clinging toes.

A strange creature walks in from another room sniffing the air. It's clearly searching for something, most likely you.

It sniffs the air then sticks it's snake tongue out of it's mouth and begins following a path that you can't see. The path is leading it to you.
