The demon burst out his wings and took flight, easily breaking the vines. The other guy looked at you with slight confusion and panic.

She shifted and lifted herself up with a vine to leap at the demon.

He ducked under your attack with surprising speed but instead of heading for you he made his way to the guy and used his tail to slice through the vines before cuffing him on the head and turning around to face you. A concentrated scowl on his face.

you leap at him but his own momentum wins over yours, he sends a surprisingly painful punch into your abdomen sending you flying back to the tree you jumped from.
