Ember kept moving closer, shifting between a crouched crawl and knuckle-walking like a gorilla. She looked over at him and nodded when he asked if she wanted to feel them anything, before holding her hand out while looking back at the dragons. She let a soft growl rumble out of her throat to get the dragons attention without scaring them.

With the noise, the Terrors begin to blink away with low purrs, golden eyes battling sleepiness in a unison of lazy-lidded blinks. Seeing the action, Kavaratti passes a jar to Ember, hanging low behind her to avoid presenting himself as a threat to the creatures in front him.

Thus, the flock watches Ember's progression towards them, unafraid and unconcerned. Among their number, one steps forward, as bold as the rest and just a bit more curious. The dragon's mouth opens as it stops in front of her and flicks its tongue, pausing as it assesses her scent with a chirp.

She smiled and kept moving closer, before taking the jar and smiling at the Terrors. She let out a similar chirp to the Terrors and smiled at them, growing ever closer.

Soon, she is right in front of them, and holds the jar of fish out for them to eat.

For a moment, the dragon pauses, body stilling as at tips its head to gaze at Ember in open curiosity at her chirp before it makes an answering call. Then, a sudden skittering movement sends it racing closer before it darts back, stopping just outside of arm's reach with the jar clutched between its teeth.

After another sniff, it drops the container, tongue lapping at its mouth for the taste of fish. Satisfied with what it finds, the Terror locks its jaws around the mouth of the jug and begins to chug, stopping only to breath with a satisfied burp.

Noticing its contentment, its flock members begin to file over, leaving the dragon to give a slight, dissatisfied noise before it returns to Ember's side with a call for more.

"Was your chirp earlier close enough that it thinks you can understand it?" Kavaratti says, amused even as hangs behind.

She smiled, before surprising him with a few words.

Who said anything about thinking I understand?

Did I say suprised? I meant shocked and flabbergasted.

She smiled and chittered to the dragons, holding her hand out and turning her head away, just like a certian Viking had done with a certian Night Fury.

Kavaratti lets out a small, bated exhale at the response, eyes flickering down towards the ground before rising back up to Ember in breathless revelation. "You and Alexis both?" he wonders, and his eyes flutter closed before he focuses back on the flock again. "I guess it makes sense why you believe in dragons then."

While he speaks, Ember turns away, leaving the dragon perched beside her to stare at him with an unblinking yellow gaze. Choosing to trust her, he looks away as well, leaving a final comment as he does, soft and wonderous. "I never realized someone could learn their language."

Unknown to him in that moment, the Terror closes its eyes and nuzzles its head against her outstretched hand with a soft warble.

She smiled, scratching the dragon gently under the chin.

*Alexis is still learning, but I mastered it. Dragons are amazing creatures, but Vikings are too strung up in killing them to learn about them. They just want to kill on sight. But Alexis, and therefore I, am different.*

With the movement, the dragon gives a soft coo, leaving Kavaratti to look back at the scene, silently wondering about the traditions of Vikings as he does. Thinking back, he really hadn't seen any dragons on their island, and Spillage's flock had circled around the waters as well.

"The Vikings tried to kill them off?" he asks, sighing softly at the thought. From his perspective, it's hard to blame them. Dragons are dangerous, after all. Still, even if they are more so than other creatures, very few choose to attack humans. Because, in the end, mankind is just as dangerous, even without wings and fire; its much safer for dragons to stray away from villages.

Knowing that, surely there wasn't a need to hunt down all those that weren't maneaters. "Though," Kavaratti muses, eyes flickering back onto the Terrors as the flock finishes their meal and their focus turns to Alexis. "I suppose your homeland did have more attacks than most."

Ember smiled before she suddenly shuddered and her eyes seemed to shimmer, as Ember allowed Alexis to regain control. Alexis smiled and kept petting the dragon like it was a puppy. *Yeah, back home was a hellhole, and not just because of the people. The dragons attacked constantly. But here, its much more peaceful. I dont know why, but Im not complaining.*

She smiled, before pausing.

*what if. . . What if we can train them?*
