It does look more realistic but we already have a wolf-like Sylesti and that's the Luporas. I've always thought of the Nixis as a cross between a wolf and a fox (but with more fox than wolf) and the revamp makes them look exactly like that. Foxes tend to have very big ears and very bushy tails and even looking at the old design that is the Nixi's trademark. I think it would be unfair to remove/ dim down the qualities. Its like taking the tails off the Sylvorpas, it'll make them look unnatural. But that's my opinion of course.

WHAT?! REALLY? THE AURLEONS ARE NEXT?! WOOT!!!! I like the Aurleons and was planning to do a project with them in the near future. I sooooo can't wait to see the concept art for them. XD IM SO EXCITED!!!

Perhaps someday there could be another bird-like species, besides Aurleons? I mean, reptiles and mammals are well-represented, and we even have an insect. Only one bird?

Yeah, the old lineart presents the zolnixi as streamlined and practically fur-less, though I still like (and wouldn't mind) the added fluffiness of the new lineart. Gives more depth (ESPECIALLY AFTER SHADING, its not like some of those lines are going to look randomly placed in the end (at least that's hoping), nor eyes emptily glaring into your soul like they're dead ghosts).

And I agree with Jaderain's post (top of this page), its not like having pet designs that look a bit different than their intended origin is a bad thing, and can reach out to people with different tastes without being too close to the original pet. :)
(The one thing fantasy games have over real life pet simulators is probably the ability to be flexible and imaginative in that aha)

And I truly believe after the revamps, years from now, Sylestia will have so many species that will do more than meet everyones' sweet spots. c:

Lunes are loveable bugs, but maybe we could have a fierce bug, too. Like a cross between a praying mantis and an armored beetle. With stag beetle horns. And a scorpion tail! An armored scorpion with the slashing arms of a praying mantis and stag beetle horns and big jaws!

I keep hoping they do the Morkko, honestly. The only reason that I'm keeping mine is that I have hope they'll look better in the future; the males in particular are not my favourite. I mean, it's one of the last ones that has the same very-old style as the Zolnixi and the pre-update Sylvorpas and Qitaries. I think they have the potential to look really cool and appeal to more than just a handful of the people on this site; while I still see innumerous Zolnixi I like, I truly have to cross my fingers and hope if I want to find an appealing Morkko, usually-if not always- female.
