ok so I had a bunch of weird reacuring theams in my dreams when I was like, 7-11. (I remember them all super vivedly)
So have you heard of this thing called a liminal space? It's really cool. So I used to have these reacurring areas in my dreams, ALL of which are liminal spaces simmaler to places that are importent to me (or where at the time)
- A ski rental. this was simmaler to a ski area that I used to visit alot. it's also the oldest one I remember. The only difrence was that it ws much bigger and made very little architectual sence, and that no one was in it (part of being a liminal space).
- My old summer camp. I used to attend this summer camp for like, six years before I eventuly stopped going. The 'main' part of the camp was a long road that whent close to a bay then turned up, with the front part being the dinneing hall and the hill haveing most of the cabins. In the dream version, there's way more cabins and the bay is slowly flooding the camp. I know how to leave the camp and walk to my home (it's only a few miles away), but I don't. I just walk around the camp, by myself. I'm only slightly sad, and I'm not even scared. Again, I'm the only person there.
- A Weird version of a game store. So This one actully... kinda predicted the futer??? not very well but I'll explain. so it was a game store I used to go to for DnD (befor the pandemic) but they moved locations to this weird toy/book store. The game store part was in the middle of a wherehouse building, surrounded by barbed wire. in the back of this fenced-off bit was a little game room for dnd players. I was always the only one in my group to show up. I only got out of the barbed wire area once, and they had a lot of Littlist Pet Shop toys and legos. About a year after I had this dream, the gamestore actuly did move and the smaller space for DnD players looked a lot like the oneI drempt about.
- A graveyard. This one is based of a graveyard that I go past whenever I go anywhere. I would walk around, looking at the Illegibal tombstones and at one point there was these three ghost cows that where 2d and animated like a tim burton thing. They would fly back and forth the path at like, 4 FPS dispite it being a realistic dream. They disapeared when I got too close.

So I'm sure that there's some meaning to this, but the only one I can think of is the cows. To summerize a really personal story, seeing a dead cow when I was 4 made me the kinda dark, skull and taxidermy obbsesed person I am today. Also thanks for reading my un-spell checked rambles.

I've had some pretty weird and interesting dreams over the years, but there's one dream I had when I was around 9 that I still remember vividly and cherish to this day.

I had seen something that had really spooked me at the time before I went to sleep and I thought for sure I'd have nightmares. Instead, I had possibly the most wonderful and peaceful dream I'd ever had in my life.

I was standing on a massive golden and white gazebo with flowers blossoming everywhere, I looked around to see a massive dog/wolf-like animal with long white fur covered in flowers! I came over to pet it, and as I did, it seemed very relaxed and happy. Just being there with the creature and petting it made me feel the same way it felt, and I was barely scared at all anymore when I woke up.

I was so excited and happy about this dream that I had made drawings of the creature and even gave it a name! I unfortunately don't have the drawings anymore, but I still remember the name and the reason behind it.

I named it Yuki, because I remember seeing a Japanese restaurant of the same name near my old house that I thought sounded cool. I had also watched a lot of Code Lyoko at that time, so I thought "Why not name the creature after the character, Yumi but with a 'K' replacing the 'M'?"

Back then, I thought Yuki was just a made up fantasy word, but I discovered years later that it means 'happiness' or 'snow' in Japanese. I think that it suits the creature quite well considering how happy and peaceful I felt because of it.

I don't think I've had any other dream that I can remember so vividly and fondly.
