Yeah, I like to read a lot of art books (mostly because they're full of pictures heheh)
I learned to draw on them, since back then I didn't have easy access to the internet and wasn't even aware of sites like DA or Artstation.
As a result, I enjoy reading a good art book, though I find I'm a bit past the basic stuff most of 'em teach you.

Yeah, I never sketch in nice sketchbooks either, I have the same taboo! As a result, I always sketch in books that are perforated, so I can trash the one bad sketch if need be^^
I usually just use those 5 dollar ones you can find at Walmart or someplace.

I really love seeing other people's art! Besides, it's all subjective anyway, so in reality there's no such thing as good or bad art haha. Actually, your dragons remind me a lot of what I used to draw all the time, so keep it up!
I tell my sister this all the time, because she's always comparing herself to me. She's a really good artist too, but I just have a bit more experience than her. It all boils down to how much time you've spent on it^^

Yeah, people say I have nice handwriting, which is weird because I have dysgraphia, so my handwriting literally sucked as a kid. But now people lean over my shoulder and complement me on it. I dunno. It looks like writing to me.
