I love the update, especially how it automatically shows you the next pet. Makes nurturing so much easier, and something I might actually try seriously.

Out of curiosity, if say I boost a pet and then sell it to someone else, will the boost stay up?

Yep. The Boost is tied to the pet.

I also agree that the way the system is setup, someone who breeds a lot could boost all their eggs when the price is low, pushing the price to max the next day for everyone else. It's also a possibility that a small number of players who have a lot of time and can spend hours a day nurturing could just always keep the price at max.

The current data is from during a fest that has a task that requires 500 nurtures a day to complete, as well as dropping the hearts which are easier to obtain via nurtures than any other method. I personally almost never nurture anything outside of fests because I'm generally only completing the tasks, so I do wonder how much the nurtures per day will drop off after the fest as people no longer have incentive to keep nurturing. Paying 3-7k scales for a nurture boost still seems rather high, especially if there isn't a fest going on. While the ceiling of 72 stat boosts sounds like a lot, I'd be interested to know what the actual stat gain has been for most boosted pets since the change.

There's a lot of this that's going over my head since I'm not very numbers-oriented, but this piece caught my eye:
For every +/- 4 average of Pets, the price will adjust by +/- 2 Diamonds or 140 Scales.
Does this mean the price will go up based on the number of pets I have Nurture Boosted? Or is it based on everyone else's pets, outside of my control?

It is everyone's pets, unfortunately.
Whether you boost or someone else boosts, there are the same amount of nurture-boosts flooding the nurture page.

Hey Krin, I don't know if this is tied to the new nurturing system or if it is a glitch. But I had this Griffi hatch early (auto hatch). None of the others were hatched. I am going thru and hatching eggs right now.

I checked my eggs before I took the dogs for a walk. When I came back to hatch eggs, he was already hatched. This screws up my mana project, as I was going to apply a mana philter to all those griffs. No way should it have hatched, I didn't do it (needs to be genetically tested), and none of the others hatched nor did he have a huge amount of nurtures. He isn't on a nurturing boost either.

Not entirely sure what could have happened.

When you first noticed it, was it at like 73ish Maturity or 96+?

If you would like, I can retroactively manually apply the Philter to that pet.

No, I didn't see any maturity after it hatched. Which is weird, as there is no maturity showing now. I didn't see it before it hatched. When I first saw it there was 1 profile view and 30 or 31 nurtures, similar to the others.

I would greatly appreciate it, if you retroactively add the mana philter to that boy. Thanks Krin!

Ah, it's not yet tested. It was at 108 Maturity when I checked and looks like it hatched well over 12 hours ago based on your post time, so I would assume it never hatched at all and somehow jumped from 71 Maturity to 73.

I took a look at the code for the places that Maturity is incremented and added something to the hourly tick to hopefully help prevent such an occurrence from happening again.

My best guess is that someone nurtured it right as the hourly tick was going on and basically it received a boost to 72 as the script was running to update non hatching pets. So then the script bumped it up to 73 and thus it skipped the hatching phase. Based on all of the information provided, that's the best assumption I can make.

Oh duh me, of course, it wouldn't show Maturity without doing the genetic test. I left it off so that you could see I didn't hatch it. And yes, I figured he hatched around 10-11am server time on Sunday. It definitely surprised me to see him hatched when I came back. Especially since he wasn't ready to hatch when I left!

Thanks for adding the mana to him! A few more months and my Reindeers will be maxed stat again!
