"Let you wander... Come back later... By then you'll probably already be dead, so sure. Shoo. Away with you. Don't bother me again." Oran waves you two off. The door had disappeared from where it used to be and was now on the wall right beside you. It opens with a loud creak.
Nikkie sheaths his daggers, giving you a greatful smile. "True that..." Then he begins to talk mostly to himself, "But if it is a dungeon, what did we do to end up here?"

Behind the door is an immediate drop down for who knows how many feet, the darkness swallows the bottom up - if there is a bottom.
Nikkie turns into his kitsunes form and leaps over the five foot gap, front paw buckling after impact. He shifts into his human form again. "I wish wounds would just heal and stay healed and not bother anyone ever again." He mutters, getting to his feet and brushing himself off.

She, once again, looked scared and stressed. By now she had gone back to her humanoid form. She glanced at her wings nervously, before attempting to jump.

You don't exactly make it, but Nikkie grabs your wrist before you fall into oblivion. He tries to pull you back onto more solid ground, but he isn't on the most stable ground either being next to the edge. The ground he's on starts crumbling away slowly.
Nikkie freezes in place, clearly unsure on what to do.
Your feet hit a ledge, a small and crumbly ledge, but still a ledge.

"Dang these wings! Dang my idiot child self! Dang this labyrinth! Dang everything!" She was standing on the edge for dear life, trying to find any footholds or handholds.

You could hear laughter behind you from the throneroom before the door closes.
"Hey, hey, it's all going to be just fine." Nikkie tries to assure you, worried about letting go of you and also pretty positive that it wasn't going to be just fine.
Beneath you there is a hiss and then a roar. There was something beneath you, probably a monster, and most likely eager to eat up any tresspassers.
"Ooooooh, no. That doesn't sound good." Nikkie says, redoubling his efforts. The ground underneath him starts picking up its speed in which it falls down.
Your ledge is beginning to fail. Your hand finds a small handhold and there seems to be another small ledge to your right.

"Nikkie, run. Get out of here. I'll catch up." She tried to put some confidence in her voice, but it failed. She grabbed the handhold and the next ledge.

"But..." Nikkie sighs and nods, backing up carefully away from the edge. He was out of your sight in seconds.
the ledge you were on had nearly completely crumbled. The ledge your other hand was on was in the same boat as the ledge you had been on, slowly crumbling away into oblivion. You might be able to jump up to get to the edge of the path, or maybe you can find a better foot hold and climb the whole way up.
You can't spot any more holds in the current lighting.
The beast below you is clearly awakening and getting a tiny bit aggitated that bits of floor is raining down on it.

"I can't see anything! I'd have better luck jumping up." She uses her upper body strength to climb onto the ledge and jumped upwards. One of her arms was extended to catch the floor.

You catch the floor, and it nearly instantly gives out. You are able to pull yourself up and out of the hole before where you had been grabbing gives out. You are safe for now, standing on the opposite - and safe - side of the pit. Nikkie was rocking back and forth on his heels a few feet away, putting his hands over his ears and closing his eyes tight. He hadn't run far.
There is a click-click-click of some type of armored beast as the beast in the pit moves around.

She sighed in relief. "Well, I'm alive. Let's just hope that thing can't climb."
