"Only 14"?
You guys have more than one pet?? Wow! I just have a lil' gremlin of a mini macaw and he keeps my hands pleanty full, heh. What's owning 10+ pets like?

I can't tel you the difference in owning one pet versus 10+ simply because I don't remember a time when we didn't have tons of pets running around. i'd say it isn't too much of a burden or chore but it's different for everyone. my family has times where we take care of animals but everyone helps if the set person is unavailable (ex. my sister does barn animals in the morning, i take nights because I'm older and it requires more work. my mom feeds the parrots and dogs in the morning, i do nights for the dogs, and I'm responsible for taking Otto outside whenever he needs to go. we also give the barn animals shots all by ourselves along with trimming hooves or wings for them. my dad doesn't do much because he works a lot.)
we recently got a horse who used to require walking every few hours and had to be lunged at least once a day but he's been acclimated so we don't really have to do much with him (other than the obvious check ins and to hang out with him. he stays at our neighbors' barn with another horse and some other animals)
the chores also change with the season. during summer and spring we don't have to do much (with the barn animals) because they have plenty of grass to eat so we just let them out of their stalls and out into the pasture. we have to get the alpacas sheered during early spring but that's a on day thing and usually takes only a few hours. during fall and winter it starts to get colder so we have to change out the buckets of water for heated ones and make sure they don't freeze over. we also have to make sure they have enough hay or food to eat throughout the day. we clean the barn year round, once a week, and it's a joint effort between my mom and i. it takes maybe 20 minutes to clean all the stalls and water buckets and out everything back.
of course, someone also has to exercise the dogs. this usually falls on me because i enjoy walks and hikes and love to bring a companion so i don't get lonely. we're actually working on leash training Otto right now.
we have a cleaning lady who comes once every two weeks and that really helps out with keeping the house in order because between my sister who doesn't clean up, the amount of times my baby cousins come over and make messes, and just the shedding of the dogs in general the house gets messy fast.
my sister is still learning to take care of her chores without being asked to, which results in her getting grounded a lot because she can't seem to remember her one animal based chore (or her others..) but other than that we all get our chores done and kind of just do our own thing unless it's dinner which is a family meal and we all have to say what chores we did.
this got long super fast, i apologize ^-^
