I get excited for a moment and raise my head up to call out to the small kit, but stop before I can. I know how young cats are hard to calm and being loud might make it worse. I quickly pad forward more and gently call out to LeopardKit.

They followed you into the forest but you notice Cinderstrike is on edge and very worried. Thornkit spotted a beetle near and bounded after it, disappearing into a bush towards the lake.

uh oh Thornkit ? / where did you go

I pad towards the Screech near Shore thinking it might be more important than something in the bushes

"We have no need to join your filthy clan" the younger one replied through his squirrel. You noticed the larger cat had grey flecks on his muzzle "What are the benefits?" they looked thinner than normal, as if something was wrong with hunting.

"First of all, I only allow the best cats join my clan. How do you know you are worthy of being in my clan?" And without letting them reply continued, "As for benefits, well, lets put it this way, those who join the clan get protection, medicine cats can heal any scratches you might have gotten, there is always food for the sick and old and young, oh yeah, and there is a lower chance of dying in general." Said Foxstar.

Snowfall just glared at you, "If you're going to act all soppy now I may just head back. I have no idea where Kizzy is. Poor feline is expecting kits, after all."

"She is?!" I sound exited and happy for my friend. "Then I better find her and give her my best wishes, this may be the last time I see her now that I have to lead a Clan. Speaking of which I also better find some of my Clan-Mates" I sigh.

Leopardkit looked over you and blinked. She was very young (2 moons) and her mother was no where in sight. The young kit mewled and rubbed weakly against your legs, coughing.

"Oh, you have a family? Perhaps you have young too?" Asked Foxstar, surprised, "It must be hard to feed everyone." She turned around and grabbed Briarpaw's mouse. "Here" she said and threw the mouse towards the rogues, "You can take it. And know that you can always join our clan."

She rolled her eyes "Leave the she alone. No one can raise kits if someones bugging them, I should know. Anyway, I she's been at the vets for days."

"Oh well..." I sigh. I will miss my old friends. I decide I better go back to the burnt forest to search for my Clan-Mates.

I look down at the small kit and sigh quietly. The sound is both of relief and sadness because at least someone is still here as well, but LeopardKit is too young to be without her mother. I lean down and gently lick the top of her head in response to her mewl.
