You had enough herbs to last you half a day, but they wouldn't properly satisfy your hunger if you ate them for more than a day. The herbs tasted quite bitter, but gave you more strength to continue walking.

Heph bit her lip at the guard's abruptness, and felt her feelings of being useless rise. "What would you like me to do? Other than pointing out the magic user, that is..."

Meanwhile, out of curiosity, she took the first half of the pen out and examined both halves to see if they could be combined. Realizing that she was moving too much to even try that, she tucked both halves away and resolved to continue practicing her magic. She traced "pen" again on her left hand.

You stored the herbs away for now and waited, it took a while but soon a horse and carriage came, leaving. They were willing to take you, despite being a magic user. They did look quite wary though.

The two pen parts did fit together. As you wrote it again, you got a whole pen and gained a new magic level. "Looks like you know a bit of magic. You're our decoy. They're bound to let another one like them get close. So detain them while you've got a chance. Join their side and we'll take you into custody too. When we get close enough, you'll pretend to escape and run from us."

Heph nodded slowly, a little surprised that the guard had known she was practising her magic. "Then, I'll meet you where afterward?"

Heph recalled that she had spoken when she first heard the illegal traders, but she didn't think they saw her. As long as she kept her voice low, she supposed that she could fool them long enough as a decoy. She fiddled with the newly formed pens.

(Just to be clear, I'm currently Level 2 in Magic? I do not want to accidentally go overboard later. ^^")

"I'm forgever grateful" i told them nodding in thanks."I'll try to help in any whey i can with your korney and mine"as long as i don't die or you turn into monsters she added.I looked at the horse hoping to see some sort of intelligence in it's eyes...

(level 3 now ^^ Sorry I was late to update)
"We'll come pick you up and take them back on their own cart. We won't go into infiltration now" The pens didn't have ink in them, but they could be used as a weapon if necessary. Soon one of the other two guards came back trotting. You could see large canyons in front of you and the cart was slowing down to go in, "They're looking now. undo the ropes and escape" she hissed, "the horse knwos what it's doing, just hang on."
