Val followed closely, in aw over the islands beauty. "This place sure is pretty!" He said happily with a wide smile. "Are all these views this pretty?"
"No... its terrible when there is a storm, but being it only rained a little last night nothing is flooded" he said climbing over a small rock face " thee are the Dry shores, if it floods here its time to hunker down inside for a few days.. "he said pointing at a maze of hols cut in the bottom of the cliff making it look like Swiss cheese and inside you could see a few small ships the were landed ages ago and were wedges between the rocks

Emerie blushed, 'U-um no, it's nothing." Then she thought about something. "Wait Pride? You said your father passed away, but what about your mother?"
He put his arm back up and kept walking down the sloping path " I never knew My Ma'.... or at least I don't remember her..." he said a tinge of sadness in his voice, but it didn't linger " What about you? what was your village like?"

"Whoa there's so many ships! Do they have coins you wonder?" He was starting to get excited at the thought. He found it hard to sit still.

"Well my mother died at childbirth, so I never knew her either. But My father... he was very strict and he didn't seem to care much for me." She answered as she followed him down the slope, "The rest of the village was not bad. But boys were either mean or clingy and all the elders always told me to be a bit more girly and to stop climbing on everything."

" It does..... but it was my brothers who wanted the sacrifices... not me.." he said a bit sourly as if the word 'brothers' had a bad taste in his mouth ... " Though I can feel that three of the four of us has passed on... so only time will tell what the young ones will do.." he said his tone changing to a more kind and gentle one
I go over the words slightly confused "So your brothers have died but younger versions of them are growing up/ you're the last original?" I ask curiously

" wow that sounds like its all rules and regulations.." he said sticking out his tongue jokingly " I never really had rules here... but then again it was lonely, I think I would have liked someone around even if they were spouting rules"

Wrath chuckled following closely behind you... the ship you entered creaked a bit as you stepped inside. there were a ton of nets overlapping some crates and barrels but other than that the barnacles that had once taken over had fossilized and stuck out almost everywhere, crunching under your feet

he nodded slowly" something like that... though its more like their children " he said softly before stretching and yawning as the sun set behind him and you could here the water filling the pool behind you
