"i'm beginning to think i went to hell an you humans are my eternal punishment" he grumbles, picking up the pace. shrugging i follow behind him, looking up in awe at the library that slowly becomes visible through the trees. "you can tie your horses there" he says, gesturing to a tree growing near the entrance of the partially collapsed building. with a grunt he forces the front doors open, holding them for us as we file in before alllowing them to slam shut behind us.

Vitalus sighed and tied the horse where he said and follows the others in. He see's the library and looked in wonder. He didn't flinched when the door slammed behind them. Glacis is right behind him.

a weird, owl like creature swoops down from the ceiling, perching on the arm of the chair he reaper is sitting on. it studies what vitalus is doing to the reaper curiously, clicking it's beak in confusion. the reaper reaches over with his other arm to pet the bird, which leans into his touch.

"what is that?" i ask, pointing at the bird. "i'm... not sure" he admits, glancing at the strange thing. "it's like me, though. if you were wondering"
