You manage to, barely. By the time you get across you are sputtering and water drips down your fur. You shiver in the cold as it is winter.

You seen reach the little clearing next to the fast moving stream. The deer herd has not noticed you yet and they are munching on what grass is left and drinking from the stream.

They are all content and drifting into after meal naps. The youngers ones are playing together, throwing a bone back and forth in some sort of game

I pad over to him and sit down,waiting respectfully and curiously.I wonder what he'll talk about.Probably about Whisker and I's arrival,I decide.
