Yeah, they're scary animals if you think about it. I'm not too scared of coyotes, I'm scared they'll get my dog or cats, but other than that I know that they'll leave me alone if I don't go near them. Plus, they're scared of us and don't tend to come near you. I'm more scared of bears that could wander into my area even though they aren't common.
He's all well! He just did something to it but nothing that needed a cast or splint

I've had a pack of coyotes go around my house and just start bark and howling :T The packs are what worry me, but also seeing a coyote in the daytime usually means it's either sick or desperate for food, either way it's more likely to attack a human
...
Not that I overthink this or anything
Oh good u-u Is he a smaller dog or a puppy or something?

the howls are pretty creepy.. I like when they're far away and you hear them though, they're just talking to each other or keeping other packs away. They don't really come up to anyone in my town because it's a farming town and you know.. gotta keep the livestock safe so everyone sends their dogs after them or gets out the gun.
he's only about 5 1/2 months right now but he's a smaller dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, they're bred for hunting foxes, badgers, groundhogs, and other small ground animals. though, I have a special touch and all my dogs turn out to be scared of practically everything so I'm trying to make random loud noises to desensitize Otto.

Ah... I live on a wildlife reserve, so we have animals close to the house all the time :T We had to put locks on our trash can because of "the bear"... my aunt down the road has a lot of chickens but before she had the know-how foxes kept coming to get them, despite their five dogs... It's an adventure XD
We have little dogs, and they don't do a good job of keeping things away... just a) getting bit by non-venomous snakes b) catching small animals c) chasing after a b e a r twenty times their own size d) getting stung by bees e) falling into wood piles and staying completely silent until the dead of night so we can finally find them in the pitch black
Oh mah goodness, we had a jack mix a while back, he was the cutest thing X3 all his sibling were pure jack russel, so we don't know how he ended up with... whatever other breed he was. They're really high energy dogs, and if I remember correctly, good jumpers, and their higher intelligence makes them pretty good for training to do tricks. Very good bois.
Aw XD A lot of my grandma's dogs end up neurotic, and that's usually because they grow VERY attached to her. Would recommend taking him to public places and areas with other animals like dog parks. Mkae sure he has many support systems and that there are things other than humans that bring him comfort, such as blankets, toys, etc.
Otto is such a great name X3

I didn't know you could live on wildlife reserves, that sounds fun. sometimes I wish I lived more towards the west coast in the mountains because of how pretty the hiking spots would be. my dogs aren't really good at much either, they aren't working dogs but we try to walk or hike them pretty often. the colder it gets the less we go though so we started training them to run on our treadmill ^-^
our backyard is fenced in and if they escape that fence we have a fenced in pasture around that so they never get far, all our neighbors know what they look like as well so we never worry when they wander. My old jack, Charlie, was such a "big" dog inside such a tiny body. He chased everyone and everything, his bark was super loud, he would go after our neighbor for a few years (even bit him once but the neighbor told us it was fine, he was used it because he trained K9s) and had such an attitude at times. One of the best dogs I've ever owned though.
oh that's so cool! yeah, I sit at my desk and do school work all day so Otto lays around until exactly 7:30 every night and then he goes absolutely crazy and runs around the house at full speed. wish we could hike more but school and work get in the way of my family's hiking schedule. he also likes to sit on his back legs when he's excited and just stares at you, it's cute but odd. he whines when I leave and is pretty attached to me but he plays with our barn cats and whatever other animal will play with him. we don't have any dog parks around but it's fine because he likes to approach other dogs on his own terms and takes a few minutes to get used to them. if they come at him too fast he hides behind me or jumps up my legs to be picked up, I usually refrain from doing that though because I want him to be used to other dogs and not so scared.
thanks ^_^ it has elements of part of the name or parts of variants of the name that mean wealthy in German I believe. it's fitting because while I don't know how much eh cost exactly, my parents say he cost a ton (so I'm assuming around $1,200?) it makes sense though because he's a blue merle jack

I actually went to some american parks out west this past summer, they were very pretty. Did a lot of hiking and saw some really amazing things. Got a little nervous when one side of the trail dropped off into a cliff face... but otherwise would highly recommend
Dogs are odd... big ones try to lay in your lap and think they're small, small ones have such attitude and think they're big XD
Oh my gosh our beagle mix does the running around thing, we call them "zoomies". Just something that comes with high-energy puppers apparently....
My dogs will approach other dogs with zero hesitation, one doesn't care if people pet him or not, and one will walk away unless people forget he exists at which point he will s n i f f like crazy
We don't put that much thought into our dogs' names :T One of our dogs was like $200 cuz he was gonna be put down in three hours and the other was pretty pricey because breeders and my grandma doesn't care if we eat
Oooooo... those apparently became popular in past years 0-o Very cute dogs :3

Lark if I redo my profile can I please be on the club list again T-T

There, I said it.
I'm gonna write a bunch of garbage, feel free to do the same. Allows for a little self-reflection, see how far you've come. And it's just fun :3
The first job I ever wanted was
...
To rule over a kingdom with an iron fist
Okay, but the first real thing is I wanted to be a chef. I loved helping my dad out in the kitchen, I know a julienne from a matchstick and a mince from dice, cooking is still something I do to help out around the house. My favorite part is washing the dishes after tho u-u I dunno... just helps to clear my head I guess
Then I wanted to be a vet @w@ I loved animals, especially cats, penguins, zebras, and tigers, but then I found out about doing surgery and I'm sorry I know it saves animals but
...
n o t h a n k s i m g o o d
Then... I wanted to be a cat behaviorist, or cat whisperer. Ah, those were the days. I learned how to tell how a cat was feeling my its tail and eyes, learned what toys cats do and don't like and what foods are best for them (cats are lactose intolerant by the way). I loved learning all that, and I really wanted to do it. Then I was told to aim for something more realistic.
I hate school counselors to this day and refuse to tell them what career I want.
Then... the big'un that started my existence as a nerd... theoretical physicist. I wanted to figure out how to hack the fabric of the universe, what's inside a black hole, how to travel through time (I've found it's only possible forwards thus far, and would result in icy death :T), just how much room for impossibility there is in a univers as infinite as our own.
But I found thinking about it was more fun than actually trying to make the math to figure it all out. Yeah... I'm to lazy for that garbage XD
I tossed around ideas for a couple years. Maybe an author. Or a teacher. Or a [better] school counselor.
Then I woke up in the dead of night in a cold sweat and the only thought on my mind was
Hey get ready to do research, you're gonna be a game developer
And now here we are.
I've got too many concepts and can't even get a prototype to test them. There's a lot of money to be made, so I can help my little brother through college and take care of my mom when she's older, and it's got so many things I enjoy, exploring cultures and concepts of the universe, convoluted storytelling, building and being part of a community, etc
So that's about it
I only became really interested in video games around the beginning of my theoretical physicist phase. I played casually before that, but that's when I really started looking into how they work and how they're made n such.
And now...
I can quit... they don't define me... I can quit when I want, you'll see....

wow @watedpoodle that's impresivly deep,
I have always loved the natural world,
My dream job is too be a scientist or work with animals exactly what career remains to be decided. I have thought about the following- orthinologist, entemologist, herpatologist, zoologist, raptor biologist, ecologist, apiculturist, aviculturist, biologist, wildlife biologist, myrmecologist, and several more. I probably misspelled several.
I have something to say that suprises a lot of people
I have had a very technology free life until high school. (everyone gasps)
This is not a very interesting confession so ha, also i don't have the patience to write alot. this is also why i can get easily confused on the techy part of video games. also maybe why i can get every so addicted to them. But aI mostly use it to research about animals. I love my birds especially
