I look at the plant, try and get the scent and look of it committed to memory before moving off to find others like it and do as she says

It seems to be coming from a bush. As you push your way forward you come upon a yearling wolf, a scared one at that. She appears to be stuck in a trap and she lets out a snarl when you come near her

The other two give little snuffles and you feel the largest one climb up onto your back rest her head on yours

I stiffen, traps out here? that was alarming, I make a mental note to tell the pack to watch out for more of them but now focus on the yearling, I lower my tail slightly to seem less threatening then say in a firm but gentle voice "Just relax, I'm not going to hurt you, Just gonna figure out a way to get you out of that trap alright? I'm gonna come closer that okay?" I wait for her to answer
