Thank you for correcting me. :) It's been a long time studied and actively spoke German, so my brain isn't great with proper phrasing (even if I remember the words, which is debatable. lol) I welcome all knowledge, so I truly do appreciate it. :)

No problem! We in German schools need to know every phrase, every word, literally just everything (You can't do any spelling mistakes without getting point deduction (I made a lot of them and got a grade worse xD)
I can understand you totally because my mom was studying in Germany, what meant to know the language. After her study she didn't need it so active and that's why she's often making spelling or articles mistakes..
That's normal, brains like to forget lots of things xD
Example of me: One week ago, we got Latin homework and I didn't write it on my homework-book (do you say it like that in English?) and still knew it the next day. Now I forgot what we need to do and need to ask my classmates for homework :D
(Excuse my bad English, sometimes I don't know the phrases, how you say it in English, please correct me, if I said something bad)

It's a prime example of "if you don't use it, you lose it." XD
We'd say, "I didn't write it in my homework book," but I completely understand your meaning. :) How prepositions (words like 'in,' 'by,' 'on,' etc.) are used can vary so greatly between languages. I've studied a couple of other languages as well, and it's just fascinating how it differs.
No worries at all. You've already seen how I struggle with knowing the proper phrasing in German. XD My method of translating it into the words I use in English, when I don't know the proper German phrase, doesn't always work well. lol

Thanks for correcting me! I'm not really good with prepositions, in any of the languages I can speak (I just use them in a wrong way xD)
And woah, that's cool! Might I ask, which languages you have studied? (I'm interested in languages and always open to learn new ones :D)
And it's still cool, how you can say something in German that is even correct and you didn't use the language a long time :D
That's a cool method you're using! Sometimes, I try doing that too, but then it turns into a weird sentence and I'm asking myself, how did I just do that xD
