She nodded, This place was one with the wilderness, well, not as much as now, but it was almost like it grew out of the forest itself. I lived mostly in the streets. The markets were friendly and open. The kingdom, while newer than the rest, was prosperous and vast. We actually had surprising advanced technology for our kingdoms age. The royalt were wise and just. It was paradise, even for a kid who lived on the steeets. He voice was full of longing.

I give him a questioning look. Then I ask "Where are you from? And why do you scavenge here?"

"A small village a little north of here, We are taxed pretty hard so we don't really have money, so this is the best option" he said glancing over his shoulder
