She was wearing full gloves this time, just to make sure she could pet her dog as she pleased. On her wrist was a small watch like tool. She had been working on giving it the ability to create holographic, but to no avail. Her dog seemed pleased to be outdoors. As usual, Kim was having a pretty average day.

She clicked her tongue at layla as she walked into the base with Montgomery.
"Well done Layla. I'll get him secure. You go take a break, you've earned it."
With that, she hoisted Montgomery onto her back and carried him to a chair, securing him to it tightly. She has put cloth between his wrists and the rope so that it wouldn't rub. She may be a gang leader, but she was considerate.

"Ah, um yeah!" Liam's eyes lit, excited. "Oh, let me get my stuff..." he stood, returning to the table where his papers were splayed out, gathering them in a wrinkly damp mess - he could sort them later. He shoved them back into his bag and slugged it over his shoulders with a wide smile. "Lead the way!"

(Oh boy he's in for a time.)

Back at the station, DeHaro had spent a large part of the after lunch hour talking to Chief Kendo about the situation.
It was almost evening by the time he had finished, not sure if they had really gotten much of a furthered understanding of the situation.
He took a seat at his desk, thinking.

Yuu had just gotten done feeding Rico and setting him back in his tank and noticed at DeHaro had finally made his way back up to the second floor.
"So how'd it go, Haro?"

DeHaro
"Weeeell, we don't really have much more than we started with, Yuu.
But the Chief seemed to know a lot more about the weird thing they were after than I think he's letting on to any of us. The most he could give me is that it was something called an Impulse emitter. Good chance they are trying to use it as a weapon to cause another event like the one a few years ago."

"Not too surprising coming from Kendo, honestly. Guy's pretty shifty sometimes.
Wasn't it you who said the guy pretty much stays locked in his office with research all day? Wouldn't have put it past him to look into anything and everything having to do with the Marked that he could find."

He made a mental note of what DeHaro had said about the emitter. It seemed odd to him that Salvation Silence would go for such a move when they had originally been nothing more than a hideaway a few years back for those with no where else to go. If he had to guess, this was probably Wes' doing.. He'd need to do his own research. And Kendo was just the man to start with.

"Think that was Mimi, actually, but.. Can't really disagree. Really the only thing now the Chief wants to happen is trying to crack down on their motions. Nothing about arrests yet, but if we can get back that emitter, we can probably take the teeth off them for a while."

Yuuko
"If you two think that's best, I can't really argue. We'd need to get way more muscle around here if we really wanted to make a jump on them anyways."

"Agreed."

Wes parked the truck near the residential area and with some time, fished a collapsible wheelchair from the back seat, locking everything up and wheeling his way into the park area.

He knew there was no chasing her if she made a run for it, so it was best to keep things civil and himself as nonthreatening as possible. He had gotten a tip off from her neighbors that she usually took her dogs out for a walk at this time, just having gotten off work for the day.

It was as good a time as any to confront her.

She hadn't noticed Wes trailing her, being fully absorbed in her activities. Her dog, boss, had picked up on Wes some time ago. Boss however was a stupidly sweet dog that wouldn't hurt a fly. When she had gotten her dog, she was hoping for something slightly more protective, but she loved him nonetheless.

Her walk was often dull, but it was about at this point that she stopped to get him to do his tricks. He had done sit, shake, stay and speak, but that was the extent of his training. She gave him a good scratch behind the ear as a reward for his efforts, kneeling down to him.

Unaware of the Leah's gaze she picked up her bag and open the door of the shop and start guiding the younger boy toward the park. " You dont seem to be from around here, right ? Did you heard the... legends about the area of town, well they are more like cautionary tales realy but they help keeping people safe at time." While Valia didn't wanted to explain in depth too mutch of what was realy happening, she still hoped she could somwhat teach Liam to be carefull, there are people who, unlike her, had no issues with using their marks to harm others and him not being aware of it was a bit concerning.
