you let go of the kite and it soars up into the sky. Darren unspools some string and it goes higher and higher. He's smiling and calls you over "c'mon! Hurry before it comes down again."

It opened again and this time the guard had a deer with it. It was dead but seemed freshly killed.



He crawled forward on his knuckles and snatched the deer away from them. He quickly tore apart the deer, crunching on the bones until only blood and bone fragments were left on the floor.

(as he's not a full-blown Wendigo he can get full but i'll say he does need to eat more than the usual person)

You gulp it down and find yourself pleasantly full.
