Yeah. She swallows a couple of times, screwing her eyes shut and wriggling. Her patterns dim a little. Oh, I've been needing fire for ages. That nasty Dwarf poured water over me and put all my old fire out. I miss my old fire.

"I'm sorry he did that." I pet Crimson, "I promise you I won't ever do that."

Balthur is tied back up to the cart by the time you're finished. "I remembered a few more stories last night about Wyvern's I've come across in the past," he says, immediatly launching into another tale.

Crimson's eyes look joyful as she snuggles into you. But also tired. If you want to travel well tomorrow you're both going to need to sleep.

"Well, I'll be closing down my stall once I've traded away the last of my goods, and I want to do a bit of travelling. If I have a Griffin then not only will I have company, but I'll have a flying, fierce Familiar by my side," the Dwarf's eyes turn a little distant at that.

Skywhisper watches the Dwarf as he explains with sharp eyes.

"I've been dreaming about this for a while, but never had the courage or the chance to ask an Elf before. But you're an Elf, and you definitely have a Griffin. That means you can go to the Elven Aeries and pick up Rejected eggs that they can't care for. Many Elves do it." He gives you a smile. "They might not grow up to be much, might not even survive, so they give them out in batches of three. If you give me two, you can keep one."
.
"Okay, just wondering. We'll be back soon," I say, before heading to the Aeries with Skywhisper.

I put my arm around her and try to sleep.

After a while the Wyvern's head settles back onto the bench beside you, closer than yesterday. He listens to Balthur's story as you travel down the Adventurer's Road.

Merchants and other travellers that pass look incredulously at the Wyvern poking out from the cart, ignoring you completely. You note that part with interest.

The sun has risen above the horizon by the time you realise, a little way ahead, the forest stops. Rune stones settle on the edge of it, and the huge expanse of grassland ahead of you.

You've reached the Central territories.

Either hte merchants don't see him (very unlikely) or they're trying ot ignore him (99.99999% chance)

Nicote shirks a bit form the sunlight-he might be a fire element but he's never really liked a lot of light. Reason #500 everyone thinks him odd.

Skywhisper trots ahead of you, leading you through the streets until you reach the massive square that sits in front of the Aeries.

You are filled with awe as you take the Elven Aeries in for the first time in years. Its majesty has not lessened since you were a child. It towers above you, carved into the sides of the mighty Stonewood forest.

The Stonewoods are held in great regard by all Elves, their hole-ridden surface perfect for nesting Griffins.

In the square are many Griffin riders and experts, chatting and milling around. There are some market stalls and stores specifically for Griffin related things here. But what interests you and Skywhisper is the one carved into the largest Stonewood tree, with the sign reading: 'Egg Bank'.
