"they were good people, y'know" she says, i look between the two, confused. she tosses a blue can of spray paint at me, and i catch it. "you have potential, why don't you put your name overlapping mine?" she offers. i step forward, looking between the can and the wall. i snag a darker blue and begin the outline, "D.R". i pause, do i put my last name? i don't. i fill in my initials with the lighter blue, stepping back. she gives me a proud look, taking the cans back. "not half bad, for a beginner"

Maple pets her cat while swinging her feet on the grass melting away like she was never there 'should have stayed at my tree's she said to herself

I am slightly surprised by this. I barely remember anything about either of them..... my mother left when I was 3, then Itsuki when I was 5. I remember how angry the both of them used to get- it was a trait that ran in the family, a trait that I never picked up. But at the back of my head, some fonder memories begin to stir, ones long forgotten.

"they got angry sometimes, but they were good people" she nods wistfully, "anyways, you can add your names on the wall. yours too. there's something special about you" she says, gesturing to the wall.

She set the cat down and kept swinging her feet

I nod. Yeah, I'm ready for this. I take a can of spraypaint- lime green- and sign my initials so they interlock with the rest. I step back, examining the letters on the wall. My initials, set there next to the others. It's weird, but at the same time it fits.

"you next, maple" she says, offering up the bag of spray paints "one day you'll look back here and think 'this was the beginning'" she states. i shrug, i mean if she says so i guess, seem a little cliche to me.

"there's nothing special about water so like besides I don't even have a last name so I'm good" she says Looking at her before getting up and walking away 'yeah nothinggg special about me but everyone else's he mumbled low-key upset when she shouldn't be she was used to being treated differently and being called a weirdo

Alex shrugs, zipping the bag up. "eh, we've all felt like that once, she'll come around" she says. "i have one more thing i want to show you" she grabs my hand, pulling me behind her out the boxed in area, across a few streets, and to the bridge above a railway. a train chugs underneath us, going barely above a snails pace.

before i can stop her, Alex jumps onto the train, laying on her back with her arms crossed behind her head. "come on!" she urges. i glance around. the train isn't going that fast, so it's not like it's dangerous or anything...

i jump onto the back of the train, quickly crawling to lay next to her on my back, with maple jumping on right after me.

Maple was having second thoughts about it, jumping on the train willingly with her kidnappers she didn't wanna be a jerk but she also didn't wanna die besides she's 'special' so she can handle it without her she didn't care and, decided to head back to the other place atleast they didn't treat her like she was lower than the rest, she picked up her back and ipod and jumped off, wasn't the first train she jumped off of and apparently wouldn't be the last
