The young sylesti ran around in circles, trying to catch its short and definitely un-reachable tail. After a few run-arounds, it gave up and plopped down on the ground, panting, and rolled onto its back to stare at the birds in the clear blue sky.
(EDIT: sorry I'm used to pinging, I didn't mean to ping you ;-;)

The young sylestie swam through the shallow water, darting among the bright coral. The sun streaming through the blue green water felt wonderful as she chased a school of colorful fish. All too soon her mother called her back to their home in the deeper sea.

The sylesti lay on it's back, starring up into the star littered sky longingly, hoping it one day could see the bright orbs closer, even if it's just for a moment. Letting out a sigh, the sylesti got up and hastily walked to it's den before it got darker... at least they can still see the star filled sky from the comfort of their own home.

The young sylesti froze, Its beautiful night colored fur bristling with fear. "Hello?" It called towards the bushes that it had heard the sound coming from. "Anyone there?". The sylesti pressed itself against the bark of the large oak that marked the entrance to it's home, hoping the darkness of its pelt would hide it.
( looking over this I just realized the sylesti I made actually fits my story to, kind of.)

The creature awoke hair bristled on end. Its midnight pelt gleaming in the glow of the on looking moon, its eyes like two bright stars, its tail soft and bristled.

The wind blows through her feathers as she stands atop the rock overlooking the herd. She looks at them and suddenly feels a surge of protectiveness toward all of them.

The dark male let out a happy growl as his two cubs tumbled around his paws. He felt a pang of sadness as he thought f their mother who had been killed in a hunting accident. He vowed with all his heart to always love and protect them.

The slim, nimble Sylesti leaped over a fallen tree. Her friends leaped behind her as well, as they raced eagerly through the forest. The Twilight began to take over the sky, and the Sylesti raised her head, looking at the stars as they appeared. This was her favorite time.
