And ooooh! More offspring projects? =3 Oh! I do know that one of my goals is to get an Artic Nomad offspring with at least a visible nomad tail. So I've got that goal in mind ^^ What about you, Loki? You've got any vulnyx PB goals? (I mean, anything new that's not stated in this threads first posts LOL)

oh, I'm.. not breeding purebreds... ;w; all I'm aiming for is nice traits and nice colors. my goal is to bring more different cats in this world~ I don't care about their lineage.
and the restricted themes, well, my NaSD project is finished and it's not a purebred for sure, though it has all the restricted traits from the Spring Druid Vuls. my next goal is breeding a 6-vis with all Arctic Nomad traits... it also will have one trait from Spring Druid because I want to have some 6-vis cats with all recessive traits - I find them kinda useful.
guess that's it. I've never had interest in themed pets to be honest. ;w;

LOL I just like to collect themes when I can because they're just a nice item =3 I also breed themes mainly because they're my main source of income when I sell. I think I'm only doing one PB breeding project for myself but that's to get the restricted traits on the emperor dragon zolnixi (next will be the artic nomad). Other than that I just love cool color and trait pets, whether themed or not :D

I think I'll do a little self-initiation thing to solidify my new place in the group :D So I think I'll show off my vulnyx babies! :D And to keep me from overflowing this thread I'll just give little backstories to some of my vulnyxes who seem to have a history or special place in my heart =3




Gemstone
Gemstone was my very first vulnyx and my third or fourth pet ever since joining Sylestia. I remember I caught her when I was doing the main quest for Esior's Haven which now seems like so many years ago. I caught her because she was purple which happens to be my favorite color. I named her after my own cat named Nala but who's nickname is Gemstone.....she too wears a purple collar. So since then Gemstone has always been one of my main three pets I use in battles and megazones like festivals. Being a writer and role player I try to give all my sylestis personalities- Gemmy here is motherly and kind, being one of my first pets she's always in charge and has pretty good leadership skills.


The Twins: Blazeheart and Lavenderclaw
During my first days in Sylestia and doing the Esior's Haven quest line I found two eggs relatively close to one another (not even a full day apart), when they hatched they were two bare-to-the-butt Vulnyx males. I immediately made them twins for how close they were to one another. Now most members would release them or use mutators on them, but starting off I had no mutators and I felt they were special to me because I found them as eggs and hatched them (I know right? Getting all attached and emotional to lines of computer code that form an image. xD I CAN'T HELP IT!). These two brats are mischievous as they come, but good at heart. And in later days when I was able to actually get my hands on mutators, I could never bring myself to add anything to them. Their simple plainness is very charming and nostalgic for me. =3


Calypso
My very first generated sylesti! (aside from my starter). Now when I first generated Calypso this was before the revamp. Now marbled looked a LOT different than it does now. In fact it looked more like calico patches. When I first made her she was mostly white with light and dark brown patching. I made her that way because calicos are one of my favorite types of cats. When the revamp happened I was devastated to see her markings drastically change her. It was upsetting for me as that's not how I always saw her. I couldn't sell or release her as I got way too attached. I believe I even complained about it to Krin and showed the difference (I keep photo copies of all my sylestis along with their ID just in case). However Krin couldn't do anything about it (I think this was before you could do the revamps? I could be mistaken, but she couldn't be revamped in anyway, not even her colors). However I became used to Calypso's new look and eventually even enjoyed her new look on her better than the old one :D


Barbosa
Barbosa was the first ever vulnyx gifted to me (perhaps the third gifted pet overall) and it happened immediately after I complained to Krin about the changes to Calypso. On the thread I discussed how I liked Calypso mostly white with just a little brown, and then a kind user told me they had a mostly white with little brown vulnyx they'd be happy to give to me. I was so happy and gracious for their generosity. So in a way Barbosa is Calypso's 'other half'. He's no nonsense and stern.


Arborwind
I find it so funny how the majority of my 'firsts' on Sylestia are vulnyx related. With that said, meet my first ever captured tagged pet! Arborwind the Fresh Earth vulnyx! It's funny because at the start I had no idea what the name meant. I was a newbie and didn't know the significance of these tagged pets or how much gold people are willing to pay to get one. All I knew was that he was special and I was forever keeping him. Like with the twins, I could never bring myself to use a genetic mutator on him as I enjoy his simple look. =3


Rowanstar
For a bit I convinced my brother to come onto Sylestia and he collected nothing but vulnyxes! He loved the Warrior books by Erin Hunter (I've been reading them since I was in school but I haven't really been keeping up lately) but he became bored. His starter was Rowanstar which I designed for him. He gave me all of his vulnyxes (which I placed in two tabs labeled RiverClan 1 and RiverClan 2) but he couldn't give me Rowanstar because starters cannot be sold. It made me sad because I designed him and he was so gorgeous! So with my money I bought diamonds and in turn an enhanced essence. With it I recreated Rowanstar so his beauty can remain since the originally had been released. :D


Sadly I can't give every one of my vulyxes their own little introduction as there wouldn't be enough room (or patience, LOL!) for them all.....

SO THEY DECIDED TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES!

I can only wish I could get so attached to - - well, some lines of code, as you've said. maybe it's "wrong" but I like seeing people who do care about those pixel animals.

I guess it stems from my childhood when I first got on Neopets. |D I can't help but get so attached to things- stuffed animals, figurines, books, blankets, pillows, ect. ......I'm such a packrat in both Sylestia and real life xD I can't seem to let go of ANYTHING!

ah, thanks for fixing the pic! now I see... I see... everything. I swear I've been looking on this picture for at least 5 minutes, scrolling up and down. so many cats. so many different colors. so many traits. themed. non-themed. offspring. tamed. so. many. cats. my knowledge of English won't let me describe how amazed and impressed I am, but I am impressed for sure. :D

by the way, do you mind if I try and make a similar pic with my cats as well? I'm wondering how long it would be D:

Ahhh! You have so many cuties! Rowanstar is gorgeous, and I love calicos too! (mostly because I own one in real life)
