I've been drawing for 4 years, but even though I say that, it's really just doodles and the like of what's in this thread. I don't really 'practice', I just draw for fun in my free time. I'm sure if you seriously practice you'll make progress incomparable to mine. But because I just draw for fun, that's why I don't draw pets/animals as much. Idk why, but slightly less interesting to me. ^.^'' Which pet I chose to draw when I do is more of just on a whim. There's no real rhyme or reason. x_x

Hmm for quickness, I guess I save time by not drawing lines; lining is kind of boring. I've been told I draw fast, but I personally don't really know how fast others draw. I just do a super quick sketch and then a detailed sketch over. Like this is an undersketch of the drawing above. Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I tried lining. Gave it a shot -- came out better than I was anticipating haha, (makes the one above look bad lmao -- so I did an edit here, but not sure if I really like it). But yeahhh, lining is too time consuming, got bored.

Man, you're good for 'no practise'. I don't do lines either, i don't really know how to. So my proportions are way off. I don't really have time to draw. I can only draw during school holidays pretty much XD

Hmm I don't really think lines influence proportions though, ah unless you meant practice. At least for me, my sketches are usually more 'correct.' My drawings look 1000x better when I use references. I'm usually too lazy for that though, so it's pretty much all free draw. I really should use references though. :(

I think I spend more time contemplating about my drawing and the message after I'm done, than drawing itself lol. I always want to go back and edit minor things that don't make a difference. I didn't time myself but I think it took 45min to draw that, then I spent an hour contemplating over it lol.

I doodle a little bit during class, but not that much. Controlled doodling haha. Yeah I draw more generally during holidays as well. Though sometimes I draw to procrastinate too. <.< ) (>.<) ( >.>

You're free to request as much as you'd like~ I don't have too much time now, but maybe I'll draw more later into the summer. ^-^

Hmm, well time is all relative. I created this thread in 8/31/2013. It is now 6/15/2015. That's roughly 21 months. I have in this time done 42 free drawings (41 + 1 redraw). So I average at exactly 2 free drawings per month.

I have actually done 3 free drawings within the past month:

5/19/2015

Thus I am actually drawing more free art for this thread than my average at the moment.

I could also calculate a percentage of requests completed for this thread as well. Roughly 7 requests per page. 29 pages. And again 42 drawings completed => 42/(7*29) => 0.2. So that's a 1/5 chance in being drawn. Compared to most freebie threads I've seen, that is high.

Like in the first post, I do these freebies at my leisure to relax. While I don't get to every request, I have been consistent at getting to at least some of them monthly, not that I even need to. I really like getting lots of avatar requests since it gives me more options. I am pretty relaxed, and don't mind people posting more requests -- increases chances of getting drawn. c: When I don't see anything I want to draw here, I tend to go to gaia and draw free art there. Which is generally of higher quality imo since I stream too. Most of this art is gaia freebies which I have done as well.

Honestly, I'm probably doing 6-8 freebies per month. But for sylestia, only 1/4 - 1/3 of that gets seen.

All in all, I've actually done a lot of freebies. But it is important to note, that I really don't have to be doing any freebies at all.
