As you followed a strange sight stopped you in your tracks. You saw a distinct human shape flying through the air, land on the ground, then slide across the floor, stopping several feet back. Then you realized it was Seth and he now had blood dripping from a wound on his head.

The chicken squawked and cried out for help but help never came and it eventually died as you are it. It was fresher and the blood was warmer than the other two would be since it was eaten alive while they had already been killed and given some time to grow cold.

He slowly lifted his head and looked in your direction. His eyes widened when he realized it was you then he mouthed, 'Be quiet and get out of here. He turned his attention back to whatever was on the other side before standing up and walking back in that direction. He glanced at you from the corner of his eye and it was like you could read his mind. The look in his eyes was telling you, 'Leave now.'.

You hear a this, it sounded like something hit the wall not too far down the hall from you, then you heard a snarl and the sound of something ripping, cloth ripping perhaps. Everything grew frighteningly silent for a moment then you vision blurred for a moment and dark blue eyes took control of you sight. Another vision.. The vision took over and you could see Seth crouching on the floor on one knee looking as though he was prepared to attack something. He was bloody and battered. A black shape flew at him, it took you a moment to realize it was a black wolf that had a silver crescent moon on its forehead. Seth dodged it, for a moment you could have sworn his fingernails had grown into long black claws but it vanished too quick for you to be sure. Then you heard a voice, it was hazy and distant so you couldn't really make out a voice, 'Run... I said RUN!!!' the vision stopped there as you came back to reality. A scraping noise sounded from down the hall where the fight was being held, this was a noise you could easily distinguish. The sound was of claws scraping along the wall. It was coming towards you and you could only hear one set of footsteps.... human footsteps since you could only hear 1 foot hit the ground at the normal pace of a leisurely walking person.

You caught an odd scent as you approached your den. It smelled of people but it also had the faint smell of a doctor's office. It grew stronger the closer you got to your den. It was already odd enough finding the fresh scent of a human this far into the woods, but it was even stranger that it was so close to your den, and the strange doctor smell didn't help calm your nerves whatsoever.

After finding the moss you began cleaning it's wounds, the fox was panting hard and seemed to be fading in and out of consciousness. The fox would have been dead already if you hadn't saved it. But not because the bear finished it off, it would have died after loosing too much blood from the constant movement of the bear dragging it across the ground. Almost everytime the fox fell unconscious you could have sworn for a split second that a part of it's body became human. Then it's consciousness would resurface and it would look like a regular fox again. Just as you finished cleaning the wound the fox fell unconscious once more but this time it didn't seem that it would be waking up for a while. After a few seconds it began becoming more and more human until it was nothing more than an unconscious, badly wounded boy laying in front of you.

I grimace. Maybe that's why he hadn't said anything about being a shifter...I wring out the moss so it's slightly damp and pack it onto his wounds, wrapping them in grass. I shift back to a human and clear a space for a fire. I carry the boy over to my makeshift fire pit and go look for dry wood at the edge of the clearing. I keep to the edge of the woods in case the boy wakes. Who knows what he's gone through if he's alone...
