The idea of a Sylestian bank sounds awesome, but even after reading the entire thread, I'm still not sure I understand how this is supposed to work or what employees do exactly. I would be willing to invest a substantial amount of gold into it if I knew for sure where my money was going and that I would be getting interest returns on my deposit.

Banks IRL charge interest on loans, and that's how they make their money. For certain types of accounts, they charge a small fee or have a minimum required balance. At my bank, I have "Totally Free Checking", which requires no minimum balance but also accrues no interest. If I wanted to, I could upgrade my account so that I earn 0.5% interest on my money, but I would have to keep at least $1500 in the account at all times.

And that's just on the checking accounts. There are also two different types of savings accounts, the details of which I won't get into here, but basically what I'm getting at is How does this Sylestian Bank actually work? Who handles the money? How do you handle diamonds? Are you offering something like safety deposit boxes for people who want to store inventory items?
