(( I think I'm good with cannons for now. TwT'' Well.. Hmm.. The world would change a bit in 1000 years. Though I think we should stick to a some-what familiar world. *Has no idea about the world of Phantasia* ))

(( XD fair enough. We'll keep it to Heimdall is falling apart, for at the end of ToS (or somewhere in between the game, can't really remember) Heimdall was destroyed... I don't think they'll change the name from Heimdall to Elf Village/Colony in 1000 years though, so we'll leave it as Heimdall. And the Phantasia heroes thing was just in case lol...cause they love jumping across time periods... But I doubt we'll need them, unless we throw the world into a really, really, really bad state and the heroes/villains of ToS and ToS:DotNW can't fixed the mess we caused ><))

((Forgive the intro I'm never really good at starting. -w-'' ))
In the outskirts of the village of Malvyis, a small girl slept against a tree. In her sleep she was somehow able to keep her staff clutched in her left hand. Soft humming can be heard in the area. The source, a teenage boy sitting behind the tree. A double bladed scythe lay on the ground beside the teen. The boy, although humming seemed focused on the surroundings, that was until the girl muttered something in her sleep.
"Apple gels..."
Zeno couldn't help but grin at Alina's muttering. "She always did like those." He thought, continuing his humming. It's been a month or so since the siblings left their home to adventure, though Alina did start napping more often than she used to.. Zeno tilted his head, then thought that maybe Alina still isn't accustomed to walking long distances.
"Guess we can walk slower from now on." Zeno looked back at the surroundings, enjoying the scenery. It did feel good to get out of that boring life style. He closed his eyes, to think a bit more. "When we get to Malvyis.. We need a map.. And maybe a lot more apple gels.. I have a feeling Alina already ate the ones we had.." Zeno shook his head then chuckled. "Why did I let her keep the gels again?"
He opened his eyes and stopped his humming to get up and check on the sleeping Alina. Thankfully, she had her hood on. So if anyone else had decided to come by, they wouldn't see her.. Non-human features. Since that was confirmed, Zeno sat back down behind the tree. He let out a small yawn, then started to hum a different tune. Zeno had a feeling that they wouldn't get to Malvyis anytime soon.

((Don't worry, I'm bad at intros too x3 Should we 'introduce' Richter and Ratatosk/Emil to the rp? XD We could start with them either already on the way to a village, or just leaving the Ginnungagap/Forbidden Gate))
[ Ephraim and Calem ]
"Apple gels, orange gels, life bottles.... Anything else, bro?" The platinum haired male asked as he searched through their bags. Ephraim, who was playing with his daggers, shook his head. There was nothing else they needed in Malvyis, or in Luneria, if Ephraim remembered what was sold in each village correctly.
"No, nothing else. We'll rest here for today, and head for the Gate tomorrow. Another day's delay will change nothing." Turning from his twin, the Eleutheria closed his eyes. He had been getting few hours of sleep the past week, and felt it was best to rest now. "So long as you return here before we leave at dawn, I care not what you do now."
And that was it, for a few moments later, the older twin was asleep, his breathing slow, and it made his brother smile. "Night, brother...." Calem ran a hand through Ephraim's hair, placing a kiss on his forehead before leaving. "Don't worry, bro, I'll be back in time~"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Now... I wonder... Is there anything else I should buy? Or should I head for a walk?" Calem wondered what he should do as he walked through the streets of Malvyis. It seemed so similar to any other olden village, with sandy roads, houses built with wood, some with mud and straw, barely any new technology... farms... completely in tune with nature, with barely any man-made items in sight... If one discounted the various gels and wooden weapons being sold.
So much different from Luneria, where houses were built using bricks, roads were paved and technology could be found at every corner. Barely any trees and flowers were there at all to hint at nature's past presence in the village. Still, this was not to say that Malvyians were discontent, or at a disadvantage. Quite the opposite in fact. From what Calem saw so far, the two villages were on par on living qualities, if only using different means to get by.
"Luneria's only a couple hours' walk from here, ney? Maybe I should pay them a visit... With a shrug, Calem headed for the village gates He already brought everything with him anyway, so there was no need to return to the inn to pick up things. Though... perhaps he should have left his brother a note... oh well.
((Hmm.. Not really sure. I'd be okay if you want to bring them in though. ^^; ))
Zeno yawned, then decided to stop humming. "Okay.. That's enough rest.. Till we get to an inn.." he thought, getting up. Zeno walked over to the sleeping Alina and poked her shoulder.
"Wake up sleepy imp."
No response, unless you call a quiet snoring one. Zeno tried twice more, however the girl did not wake. Sighing, Zeno crossed his arms. "Darn she's really asleep this time.. Maybe I should just carry her?" He tilted his head at the possibility, then shook his head. If he did that he'd also have to find a way to carry the weapons as well. His scythe did have a sling.. But still the staff..
Zeno gently tried to take the staff from Alina, however even when asleep the girls grip was too strong. Zeno gave up on the idea all together and shook his head. Then he came up with a better one. Zeno dramatically sighed.
"Ah well guess we will miss out on all the apple gels from the store.. Can't go anywhere if some sister of mine is still asl-"
"-Apple gels!?"
Alina opened her eyes and jumped to a standing position. Looking around. "Well.. That worked.." Zeno though and went to get his scythe.
"If we can make it to Malvyis, then I'll buy you some."
Alina nodded once Zeno was back beside her and tilted her head at him after.
"Hmm.. Which way was it to Malvyis again..?"
Alina gave Zeno a glare then shook her head, pointing in the direction where the village should be. One could tell the girl was slightly annoyed by the way her ears made her hood move.
"Heh, heh. Sorry. Shall we go?"
Zeno started to walk towards the direction Alina pointed prior and Alina followed right behind him, keeping her ears flat so that people wouldn't notice should they happen upon any before the village.
((Shall we try then XD Tell me when you're ready, we'll have them reach the villages when we rp them? Oh yes, do you mind if Calem meets Alina and Zeno in my next post? Sorry for short post >< Mind's not in best mood for writing today ><))
[ Calem ]
No monsters so far... good, at least he could enjoy his walk now. With a smile, the teen spun around, taking in the sights of nature before him. "It's amazing how beautiful the world around us is! If only we take the time to look around.... "
A sigh escaped his lips as the words left his mouth. It was such a disappointment that people didn't get the chance to just simply enjoy the beauty of their world... But... it was life - everyone wanted different things, so perhaps only he bore the disappointment.
With a downtrodden look, the younger twin continued his journey, only to brighten up again when birdsong filled the air. With his smile returned, the teen began to hum along, picking up his pace. If he was going to make it to Luneria and back, he'd best hurry!
[ Ephraim ]
Ephraim had planned to sleep till the morning.... planned being the keyword. But after a short while, the male had woken from his nap, and found that returning to dreamland was far from easy. With a groan, he decided that perhaps it was best to head into the marketplace and grab some tea and milk - the always seemed to be able to aid him when he needed a rest. At the same time, he could stock up on some of his own herbs, that way, he could have tea on the go.
True, he had said that there wasn't anything else he needed to buy, and that he had his own stash of herbs still stocked, but while, there was room in the budget, in his budget, and since Malvyis and Luneria were well known for being one of the best places to get herbs from... why not? He'd asked around the day before, and picking herbs from outside the village was allowed, so if need be, he'd do that. Though, it'd be easier on him if he could just buy them...
((Sure. If you Mean for Ratatosk and Richter to reach the village. I guess we can try. ^^; This mmo is really messing with my schedule. -w-'' Also, do not mind at all if you have Calem meet them. I also apologize for the small post. ^^; ))
After some time walking Alina stopped, and held Zeno's shirt so he wouldn't keep walking. Zeno looked back at Alina, confused.
"What's up?"
Zeno could see that Alina's hood was moving a little. Her ears must have picked up something. Zeno watched Alina slightly pull back her hood so she could hear better. "Monsters perhaps? That's a common thing though.. Maybe it's a person.. Or a tree branch falling.." Zeno wondered what it'd be like to have ears like Alina's then decided that it'd most likely be more bothersome than not knowing what's nearby.
"I.. hear footsteps, both human and non."
Alina muttered. Hearing her, Zeno nodded and continued to walk. This time slightly off the road. Alina followed him shortly after putting her hood back on fully.
"No problem. Come monsters, bandits, we can take them. Though.. I rather the person be a peaceful sort."
((Aiya, it's ok ^^ Take your time, and don't worry if the replies are short :) (Mine are too...) And yes, the pair reaches a village - Malvyis. You start off with Ratatosk?))
[ Calem ]
Playing with his bow, Calem barely noticed the two until he bumped into them. Usually, the twin was careful, able to stay on the road while his attention was elsewhere, but today was different. "Ah! Oh my...! I am so sorry! I-I didn't mean to!"
In a panic, the male scuttled backwards, losing his footing in his hurried movements and stumbling to the ground. "Ooof!" Blue and white filled his vision as he ended up on his back, opting to lay down while he caught his breath. Moments later, the male sprang up, keeping his bow and once again apologising for his carelessness.
"Sorry..." Sheepishly muttering, Calem bowed, a light flush tinting his cheeks. This was just embarrassing - he, an experienced archer, making such a mistake? His brother'd never let him live it down if he heard! Thankfully, Ephraim was back at the village, and wasn't anywhere near to witness the clumsiness of his twin.
[ Ephraim ]
"Ah...." A sigh of bliss escaped his lips, the tea slaking his thirst and relaxing his tense muscles. As usual, such a state made him drowsy, and the light haired male took the chance to drag himself to bed. Perhaps now sleep would come easier.
As his back hit the bed, Ephraim was almost swept into dreamland, but his mind struggled to stay awake when his eyes rested on his unkept weaponry and belongings. Ever the organised one, the male dragged his tired body out of bed, keeping his things and falling back to bed with them tucked under his arms.
At least now with his things beside him he could sleep peacefully, without worry they'd be stolen. As his vision became dull, the only last thing on his mind was - how's my brother?
((Sure I'll start with Ratatosk. ^^; Sorry if it sounds odd. If it's not good I can re-write it.. ;w;))
Alina fell back when the two siblings were bumped into by what had seemed to be a person. How did she not hear him so close? Alina strained to keep her ears low as she strained to listen. Maybe the hood..? Alina shook her head and looked over at a unreasonably angry Zeno as he said.
"Watch where you are going next time!"
Alina looked down, feeling that this was somehow more her fault than the.. She looked at the boy. Taking note of the bow. "An archer? oh.. I hope he's okay.." Alina sighed, then getting up, tugged on Zeno's sleeve. Bringing the still angry boy's attention to her.
"Not his fault."
Zeno shook his head hearing Alina's muttering. Of course it wasn't the guy's fault. Zeno himself wasn't truly watching where he was going either. Though.. He shook his head again. "No, snapping at the guy was wrong.." Looking back at the archer, he sighed.
"Sorry, we were not paying attention.. So the blame wasn't yours. And sorry for being snappy."
Alina again tugged on Zeno's sleeve. And although still annoyed, he tilted his head at her. Alina muttered something that was almost incomprehensible, until she repeated and the word 'directions' came out louder than the rest of her words. Zeno rolled his eyes, but with a shrug asked.
"Ah right.. Sorry to ask all of a sudden but.. Which way is it to Malvyis? My sister seems to lost confidence in her own directions."
At the mention of her, Alina timidly ran behind Zeno. Pulling her hood over her eyes to avoid seeing the archer. "And you were okay a minute ago.." Zeno thought, shaking his head.
--------
"So close to the Ginnungagap.." Thought the red eyed-blonde summon spirit as he walked into the small village. The thought of a mortal settlement so close worried Ratatosk, however, he was confident the monsters he had guarding the door would deter anyone from getting near. And even if they did. He made sure to seal the entryway to the door. Even so, the worry lingered. Which angered him to no end. Clenching a fist, Ratatosk fought to keep his emotions down. lest he incur the wrath of the red head that he was.. Unfortunately stuck with for about 1000 years and now. Not that Ratatosk was afraid of the half-elf. But there was a small part of him that..
"Wow! Already a village!? There wasn't a village here when we last roamed around was there? I don't remember seeing it when I was with the others." Ugh.. Emil.. As if on cue.. "Of course there was, it's not like these places pop up out of no where after 1000 years or so." Ratatosk thought back to the timid personality. "You.. you didn't have to be sarcastic..." Came the reply. Ratatosk shrugged and gave the village a glance around. At least, they can find out current events from this village. Perhaps even ask if the villagers knew if the Ginnungagap was so near. Darn it! So what if they know!? As long as they don't decide to intrude it's fine! Eventually Ratatosk ill-temperately growled.
"So how long are we going to stay here..?"
((I'll be a bit slow with replies due to time limits back in rl... >< ))
[ Calem ]
Anger rose in him as he winced, two contradictory actions to the lashing he received from the stranger. Perhaps a result from his use of his cheerier persona, the boy returned the male's apology with a small smile, whilst deep inside displeasure rose form being treated as such despite his own apologies.
"N-no! It's ok! Erm...Actually, I just came form Malvyis..." Another wince as he realised that despite knowing the way back, he couldn't translate the directions to words. "Erm.... I can't figure out how to tell you to get there - I know I can retrace my steps and wind up at Malvyis without getting lost, but if I were to tell you how to get from here to there... L-let's just say I'm bad at directing others...."
The pink dust on his cheeks grew darker as he hung his head, scratching his nape in embarrassment. His lack of verbal communication - in the sense of giving directions at the very least - was something he rarely admitted to anyone, and to say so to two strangers? Needless to say the boy was highly self-conscious now. Usually, these situations were avoided as Calem had other party members with him who could give directions with confidence, but being on his own, the current scenario was unavoidable.
[ Richter ]
He heard the summon spirit's question, yes, but the half-elf let silence reign between them as he surveyed their surroundings. There were things he had to take into account before being able to answer that question sensibly, and that required time. "A day or two." He replied after a while. "That's enough time for us to some collect information about this new era and prepare for the road ahead. I'd expect that our exit from the Ginnungagap did not go unnoticed, so it'd be best that we do not linger here, lest we draw unwanted attention."
That was his view in the very least, what with the giant pillar of light that emitted when they left that forsaken place. Yes, he'd been willing to stay, but after 1000 years there, it was needless to say he had no intention of going back anytime soon. However, his assumptions that the kingdoms would send investigators was based on experience of the world 1000 years ago, and while he could be sure they were accurate then, the same did not hold true for the era they were currently in.
With a grunt and an upwards push of his glasses later, and the half elf decided that instead of just glancing around and sketching the layout of the place in his memory, it'd be best to actually try and find something useful... say, that inn over there, or the shop nearby. And was that the sounds of a market he heard? From years of neglect, his senses were dulling, and even sensing the remaining mana that resided in the living beings around him was difficult. Or was that just a side-effect from the diversion of mana he and Ratatosk had done?
"Shall we head to the inn first, or would you rather explore for a bit?" His laxness with the summon spirit still surprised him, even after all these years. He'd been his usual formal self for the better half of his stay in the summon spirit's home, but as the years dragged on, he found himself actually enjoying the company of the spirit and his centurions, even sharing laughs every now and then as the eight guardians gave their humorous reports throughout the years. It was...homely, no matter how dull the place itself was.
A part of him did miss the time spent there, and the informality the trio and the centurions had whilst in the protection of the summon spirit's home. Yet, it was best that they acted... 'professional' in this new era. Being too relaxed could lead to their downfall, no matter how strong the pair - strike that, trio, was.
