The Fall Leaves
My inspiration for this Ryori female would be a lack of seasons for me. I live in California and for the last 10 or so years I have not seen an actual fall. No leaves changing colors for me so I chose all her colors based on the changes of the leaves red, yellow, orange and brown. To me she is the Ethereal Princess of Fall.

The Pumpkin Maker
What inspired me to make this Ryori is when I go out to trick-or-treat and its really dark, I see these kinds of colors. Most of the time the sky is a dark blue, and it makes shadows look purple. People's houses have Halloween decorations that light up orange, and the orange glow from pumpkins with candles in them. For the genes and mutations I just choose what look mysterious with these colors and it ended up looking pretty good!

My design is based off the holiday Dia De Muertos which is a primarily Mexican Holiday, celebrated on November 1st. Its a day where you celebrate the deceased, you visit their graves and leave personal possessions, eat sugar skulls decorated in vibrant colors, and the spirits of the dead are said to come back and celebrate with the living.
I thought my design to be fitting.

Based around a Jack-O-Lantern. The orange body is the orange of a pumpkin, the Ethereal Horns are the stem. The Foxfire represents the candle's flame, as does the yellow of the eyes and orbs. And the Marbled was chosen because it looks like a skeleton, so it represents those people who paint their pumpkins instead of carving them.

Colors of the Autumn Wind
So, for my design I was inspired by the song "Colors of the Wind" from the Disney movie Pocahontas, and I took the color inspiration from popular fall colors, as well as common leaf colors around this time.

This design is called Arsenic and Old Lace! It's an old, and quite dark, comedy about two old women who poison and kill old men, out of the kindness of thier hearts. :')
In my fall semester of my senior year, we did the stage version of Arsenic and Old Lace for our fall show! It was VERY exciting for me, because I got the role of Abigail Brewster, one of the sweet, generous, murderous old ladies. :D It was so much fun, and my first time as a lead role in any stage production!
So here is my Ryori design, shes sporting visible Rose Markings, Ghostly Wraps, and Galaxy. The rose markings and wraps remind me of all the different linens and doilies we had decorating the set, while the galaxy mutation makes me think of dust falling through window sunbeams in the attics of old houses...
I dunno. I think she's pretty. XD

This is my "All Hallow's Eve" Ryori.
The skull represents a jack-o-lantern, the body the leaves of autumn, and the collar and tail represent the beautiful night sky with the spheres as the stars.

My inspiration was a dark and spoooOoOoOky night! Complete with brambles, and red eyes in the dark.

Tombstone
A while ago, I was thinking of tombstones (Samhain and Halloween and the weather in my corner of the world...) and came up with this fellah. Colors inspired by pictures of tombstones I googled. The icicle orbs are for the cold of death, the petal wreath for the flowers on the grave, and the star runes for the soul that went to the skies.

Starry Nights Ryori:
My inspiration comes from my thanksgiving tradition. My family will gather at a cousin's ranch in northern California, and spend thanksgiving together. My dad is an astronomer, and up in the mountains the stars are very clear and beautiful. My dad and I will spend apart of the night looking at the stars and finding constellations. I love the stars and used that as my inspiration for this Ryori.
