Hi there. I'd like to join, and be on the ping list, too. ^^ Me and Sav kind of have a bit of knack for designing Bulbori themes. They might not be my absolute favorite species, but I do like them quite a bit.

Meadow here, is my favorite Bori:


And Tallai is actually my eldest pet in terms of lowest ID number (her number is lower than that of my starter, as she was the first pet I bought from someone else):

Those two are so adorable! It is always fun to look back at our old pets and admire them, isn't it ^.^ I was trying to pick a favorite bun but I truly cannot decide >.< Guess that shall have to wait!

Normally I have a terrible time picking a favorite as well, but Meadow is an easy pick because I worked hard to get her without using any dyes. I am not sure if this was because of the cost of the dyes while I was a relative newer player, or if I was looking for a challenge, because it was so long ago. XD

This, however, was Meadow the 1st, a wild-caught Bulbori, single vis. I bred the current Meadow from her descendants, selecting colors carefully so I would not need to dye the eventual resulting baby. (Except her eye hex. I did allow myself to dye that, because I really wanted to keep that exact color and could not find suitable males to recreate it).


Nowadays I would honestly just slap some dyes onto a pet if I wanted to re-create a wild single vis like that, but I still have fond memories of working hard to get her. :)

She truly turned out spectacular, and I seem to remember pet dyes being a huge issue for me when I was a "newbie"! So that is probably it lol! She is quite the beauty though! I,sadly, did a stable dump about 6 months into the game and managed to sell all of my bulbori x.x Including themed. Actually, most were released I believe, who even knows anymore xDD But she is one gorgeous bun!!

I think you are likely right. Dyes used to be significantly more expensive and hard to get back in the day (pre-wheel days! Haha), so it was likely necessity driving me more than the challenge. Still have happy memories of pouring over all the Bulbori's out there, planning for the project though. :D

I did a bit of a theme and everything else purge back in the day too due to lack of space. One of those later really regrettable things!

I agree completely! I truly love the old themes though, they could just be absolutely stunning! But the new ones seem to be my favorites *is currently hoarding 50 gladiolus*! Please do let me know if you start any projects! I will be updating my post either today or tomorrow with mine ^.^

Speaking of old and new themes, I actually got the honor of designing the very first user-made/tagged themed for Bulbori (Ashen Fall). :)


Back then we didn't have a lot of knowledge of how it was going to work, and the colors on themes used to swing a great deal more than they do nowadays (They could swing as far as a lesser dye at the time. They now have a range closer to a mythical essence). Because of this, some of my hex values used had a tendency to do some pretty crazy things on Ashens. XD

If you've ever wondered, these are the hex values they were entered as. :)


Perhaps Sav would like to comment on new themes, as hers is the zone Bulbori right now. :)

Oh goodness! I feel like I should have known that lol!! I absolutely love your design o3o Probably would top my list (if that swing hadn't been so huge >.<)

I would love if Sav did! Maybe we can coax her out of her endless battling :P


I have gotten two themes designed by me chosen, The Lazy Days Nephini and the Starry Night Lighira ^.^ No bulbori (yet ;) )

I love Lazy Days <3 They were the first Nephini theme that I went 'Hey I want that' about. :D

I've had a fair number of designs accepted.. but for here I will stick to my Bulboris. :)
