Subzero laughed. "Don't tell the princess I said it, but you sound just like her."

As the Rainwing giggled, some of the scales began to turn gold, but quickly switched back, trying to keep herself appearing as an Icewing. "Don't worry, I won't" she laughed. Hibiscus could already tell she was going to love her time st Jade mountain.

Cometchaser had been watching the others getting along with envy. She could tell by the way the IceWing with too much ice looked at 'Carmine', he had a crush on her. She debated going up to say hi. She couldn't help it. She started to giggle at him.



Subzero, on the other hand, was glad to have some people he might be able to call friends. Carmine seemed really nice, and he wanted to be her friend. How do I get her to like me back? The SandWing still didn't seem to like him. Hibiscus was nice, even though she was so.... bubbly. He looked over to the NightWing from earlier and saw her giggling. His scales turned a darker shade of blue in embarrassment. He looked away and back to the group. "I'm sorry about the cold....."

Carmine

"No- it's alright," Carmine offered a kind smile to Subzero. "We should get used to it- we're your cave-mates." She titled her head thoughtfully. "Would you guys like to meet my pet?"

Not waiting for an answer, she went back to her luggage and picked up a small lump of fur from where it rested on the baggage. She returned to the group and held up the creature.

"He's a gift from my father," she said. "His name is Dragonfruit. We call him Dragon for short."

The creature was a sloth- something many Rainwings had. She only had it because her father was one. It clambered up her arm and onto her shoulder.

Scorpion

"It's kind of... cute," Scorpion muttered, brushing his claw over it's head. It took one of it's hands and grabbed his claws.

Scorpion was shocked when Carmine said, "I think he likes you!" The sloth went up his arm and then jumped onto Subzero.

Subzero didn't move at all. He shook the frost off his claws and gently pet Dragonfruit. "Yeah's it pretty cute." He smiled and pet the sloth a little more.

Carmine

Carmine had heard giggling. She scanned the platform, her eyes landing on... a Nightwing? Was that a Nightwing?

The Nightwing had dark purple scales, and the most unusual thing about her was the white comet shaped mark on her shoulder. The giggling was coming from her.

"Hi!" Carmine yelled to her. Then she turned back to the others. "You can keep him for a while if you'd like," she said to Subzero. "He's comfortable around you. I think he likes the cold because it's similar to the rain in the rainforest." Then she frowned. "I've never actually been there before."

"Oh." He paused. "If you want me to, of course I'll take care of your pet." The gigglings from the purple NightWing got louder. He glared at her, and she winked before scampering off.

Carmine

She watched the purple Nightwing run off. "Do you know her?"

"No," Scorpio said.

"Well, then why don't we go to our winglet cave?"

Subzero nodded and soared through the wide hallway to the moonstone cave. He landed on the frost-covered ledge, which still hadn't melted yet. He glared at the NightWing, who was organizing her scrolls. She glanced up. "I'm Cometchaser. And you are hopeless." Again, Subzero blushed in embarrassment and hissed at the much younger dragonet. She winked and went back to looking through her astronomical scrolls. "You should tell Carmine-" She looked over in surprise at the hybrid, who just now entered. His breath visible in the air, Subzero pet Dragonfruit, who had wrapped around his neck like a scarf.
