Beach Dream Griffi
Inspired by lazy days on the beach, daydreaming and getting some refreshment in the water of the sea. The flowers reminded me of dried flowers ^^
The wings have a light- dark effect to show a change in dept in the sea.

In light of the landfall of Hurricane Harvey, at Rockport, Texas a few days ago, and which is still pounding the Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and extreme western Florida Gulf Coast, I think I must use Hurricane Season as my summer topic. Hurricane Season in the USA starts on May 1 and ends on Nov. 1, although it is possible for these kinds of storms to form at any time of the year if the weather is unseasonably warm and the water of the oceans are at or above 85F in the Trades, the Caribbean or the Gulf of Mexico. I've lived at times and over numerous years on varied portions of what is called, in the USA, the lower Hurricane Coast, meaning from coastal Georgia southward, the entirety of the US portion of the Gulf of Mexico and in several locations along both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of Florida. Hurricanes are something I'm quite familiar with. Currently, we are in what is known as the Cape Verde season, when the African Monsoon sends storm after storm into the eastern Atlantic and these storms are the spawning hurricanes...the better the Rains in Africa, the worse the current year's hurricane season is likely to be. The stronger the monsoon, the bigger the weather systems that emerge over the warm waters of the Trades, this means that hurricanes form more easily and get big enough to be dangerous much faster.
Link to the Weather Channel and expert explanation of what the Cape Verde Season is and how it works.

The wings represent the fierceness of the upper level winds of the eyewall, the ocelot indicates the rain-bands and the swirl of magic spell marking indicates the counter clockwise motion of the massive storms of tropical origin that we call Hurricanes.
The lighter blue of the base color represents the blue of the summer oceans and the darker blue of throat and belly indicate the shore, which by the time landfall is imminent, is dark, flooded, deserted and bereft of life.
Beach View of the sky as a hurricane moves inland
Note the skies behind (on the seaward side) it are relatively clear, but on the landward side, it's very dark and ominous. This is what I'm trying to display.
EDIT: Irma, Jose and Katia...yeah, I have to say I'm glad I got the hurricane design in.

My Inspiration: Watermelons. Purely, simply watermelons. My favorite thing about summer is the watermelon season. We might have picnics and eat watermelons in the nearby park, or maybe have watermelon seed spitting contest in the backward. And the taste! That sweet sweet juicy watermelon taste! And just to top it off, sometimes we make the watermelon slices look like animals or shapes.^.^

my inspiration is a nice serene Summer Cruise - sunlight gleaming off the ocean tides.

Sunset on the Ocean Puffadore
I looked up "summer" in my search engine and this image came up. Okay, so maybe my puff includes a little more 'ocean' than it does 'sunset'...but hey, it's my design.

Well. I hope I did this correctly.
This is my Sylesti:
And here's my inspiration to why she is so green:
I tried to copy these colors because I think it's unique. Green Coral. I was about to go rainbow but doesn't Coral look so pretty in the water?

Inspiration: I went to a beach this summer so my inspiration is the beach, that's why the colors are colors you would find in a beach!
