You had finally reached the forest yesterday, and the unfamiliar terrain was rather frightening. The trees covered everything in shadow, and the rustling of small critters was a never-ending orchestra.
You are hungry, tired, and cold. Looking around, you find some long grass underneath some bushes and lay down to rest for the night.

Lily lay down, shivering and terrified, "I want to go home, holly. Why does this silly colt matter so much?" she wined unhappily, rubbing her bare arms. She wish she'd brought a jacket and not this short dress, she thought they'd just be going berry picking before practising for the village festival. lily also missed her warm room and maids.

"Zuni! Are you alright?" Vanneau proceeded to inspect the ankle. "I hadn't meant for you to jump out of a tree quite yet, but you'll be okay. It's only sprained. And in the future, don't do practice jumps with a bow. Your life is worth more than your weapons."

(The bow hadn't been there, he'd been grasping at thin air xD Just going to act like Vanneau didn't say that.)

Zuni frowned, "I'm sorry Cherokee. it was a little stupid. I promise I'll get the hang of it soon" he stood up, his ankle shaking slightly as he repositioned it. It hurt slightly, but he'd felt worse and was determind to keep practising, reaching for the lowest branch

"Oh no you don't. It's getting late and climbing with a sprain is not a good idea. Let's go back to the village now."

Zuni paused before nodding, "Will the Teller be there?" he asked, wanting to know about his mother, tugging at his sleeve.

"She is still sick and confined to the hut. Perhaps in a week's time she will be able to join the tribe in our sundown meal. Can you walk back by yourself?"

Zuni nodded, he could put a bit of pressure on his ankle. he probably wouldn't do his usual running around the tribal camp with his sister, but help her with her bow tonight and polish his own. His eyes glinted happily as he walked back with the Cherokee, open for a verbal lesson, "Will there be debating tonight, Cherokee?"

"I think so. This morning Aigle and Colibri were questioning whether a very large opponent would beat very small one or the other way around." They continued through the forest nearing the village.

Zuni thought, "Well.. I guess it depends. if the small one is agile and can dodge attacks while putting his own in, he would win, however if the larger one managed to grab him it would change the battle. it depends who has the most practise." he looked at Vanneau expectantly
