I have done just a head item, a held item, and an outfit.

I call it the SUMMER ROSE CELEBRATION collection!

I ran out of time to do the male version but if needed I can draw it later. FINISHED





Note I lowered the capacity of the base while drawing and...oops...I forgot to put it back.

So what reminds me most of summer is, strangely, beetles. If you notice, beetles disappear in the winter, and re-appear around springtime. However, you don't start to see oogles of them until summer arrives. That's true where I live at least^^
So beetles is what I wanted to draw. I know Sylestia has some bug-oriented costumes, so I hope these are enough different from those!
The inspiration for these are goliath beetles.
I suppose they can be called Beetle Armor, or something along those lines.
Female

Male

So some explaining:
I only drew wings on the female base but both have them. I didn't draw a hand held, however I did make a sketch of what I was thinking about. In the female base, you can see a stick with spikes on it. That's called a kanabo, and I thought that it went very nicely with my design.
Secondly, I did color them differently. They are both representations of different goliath beetles. The female is the basic coloration.
And thirdly, goliath beetle wings look like iridescent, scaled bat wings. So just keep that in mind when looking at my tried attempt^^

Camping!

I thought it would be nice to have something like camping,
_{tho I also got a bit inspired by girl scouts}

My outfit was inspired by the flowers that are out in summer. I know its leaning a little towards spring but I thought it would work for summer. My drawing skills have much to be desired so I'll add a detailed description for each.




Still working on the female, ignore my pencil lines, the male is supposed to have a white undershirt but I don't have a white Sharpie and the size of the flowers on the wings is poorly represented on my drawing.

Outfit: For the male, I went with a classic, black tuxedo with flowers (I used an orange daisy style but any type of flower would work) all over the cuffs, the hem and collar of the jacket, the tie, and the pant's cuffs. I forgot that you can't draw other colors over black sharpie so I couldn't draw flowers on the hem of the jacket or the flower corsage (meant to match with the female version) which is in the upper right pocket on the jacket. For the female, I decided to go for an almost wedding dress style made entirely of flowers (again, I used an orange daisy style but it doesn't really matter as long as it matches the male's flowers) with a semi-long train of the same flowers. The neckline is just below the collarbone with a neat clump of flowers making up one strap on the left side. Also on the female, the flower corsage on her right arm.

Held: I suck at drawing lions but that's what the held is supposed to be. A lion cub with a flower mane in a playful, standing position. You can change the position to what you think is best but that's how I attempted to draw it.

Wings: The wings are made out of green vines with flowers all over them. The biggest flowers are near the center and they get smaller the farther towards the edge they go.

Head: For this, I decided on a masquerade mask with a big centerpiece flower on the bridge of the nose. It has an elegant, sleek black design with a 6 flowers on each eye (three on top, three on the bottom) for a total of 12 flowers. The size isn't a huge deal but the flowers shouldn't cover the entire thing, you should still be able to see the black mask underneath.
