Relief filled Nyeupes face, and he smiled for a quick second before he wiped his emotions clean. There had been one thing he remembered from his last pride before exile. No weaknesses, or your dead. Surprisingly, that saved his life more than once.

He said, *I have very little knowledge about other prides and thier lifestyle, partly becuase Ive been living alone and in the wild since I was 1, and partly becuase my last pride was focused on killing other prides and taking over thier land. However, I am very strong and quick, and a good hunter. And I am very intelligent in the ways outside of loin society, and that could possibly help. All I ask is this.*

He bowed low and said, *Queen Vusumuzi and King Shujaa, allow me to join this pride. I have nowhere else to go, I am dangerously close to starving, and I want to be in a pride again, after 3 years of traveling. Please.*

Unknowingly to him, his right paw, which is his numb one, twitched, and apparently began writing a message.

Shujaa blinked at Nyeupes request. Joining the pride? he hopped down to his mate and said quietly, *this loin. Are you sure hes qualified? We maybe need to test him, or figure out if what he said is true. Im just not sure about Nyeupe until Im proven hes a true Loner.*

Nya was glad that Nyeupe wanted to join, but she wasn't sure if the King or Queen would allow this, "Let him in the pride." she growled softly, she had said it just loud enough for the three lions to hear.

Nyeupe shot Nya grateful look and mouthed, thanks. then he quickly turned back to the king and queen, his numb paw still writing a message he didnt know he was writing.

Nkosi snorted as the trainee glared back at the King. "Respect." He said, his eyes narrowed. "Is key, especially to our rulers who attempt to keep us safe. I have no hate for this loner, but it is the King and Queen's decision. Please allow them to make their decision, Nya, as letting in a loner without checking if they are safe or not will get someone killed. Gut instinct does not always work."

Nya glared at Nkosi, "I for one don't care if I get voted out of the pride, I just don't want a lion that could become part of this pride left out because of something stupid." she growled as her ears flattened.

"And he won't be left out. Keeping our pride safe isn't something stupid either." He growled slightly in annoyance. "No one mentioned voting you out the pride either. Random attempts at selflessness will get you nowhere."

Xolani leaned forward and nudged Nkosi's shoulder with her nose, turning to Nya. "It's alright," she said to Nkosi. "Nya is only trying to help. But he is correct as well," she added. "We have to let the Queen and King decide if he's safe."

She leaned down next to Nya to whisper. "Nkosi is really grumpy, don't worry about him."
