If i may offer a small tip for you guys, my film teacher once told me that every movie can be explaind in one sentance. I feel like this applies to comics too, if you've ever read or seen a newspaper comic it's fairly simple in concept but the story still has drive. So try and suggest ideas but keep them to one sentence. It'll make it easy to build off of, and make the story very flexible (There are no ands, buts or ors. just a sentence)

Like archie comics for example can be explained with "A boy is dating two girls at once" for example. A simple concept that has literally been running strong for 77 years.

also most newspaper comics tend to be light hearted, or just slice-of-life. Aggie Mack or Aggie is a very good example of this, it's everday life with an underlining serious tone but still happy and light-hearted. (I suggest you read up on it it's actually a very good strip that ran for a very long time)

slice-of-life also allows you to keep the same cast but have a new adventure or story each time, so planning is easier since it's just everyday life and each adventure does not necessarily need to be related

Vigil- I could be mistaken about it being ongoing, but Griffin should know. And good point, though would it be fine if there was only a minor focus on a death, but not actually showing it or anything?

Griffin- Will the comic be ongoing?

Yep, of course. Some people have a hard time with these kind of things, but I guess we could always slightly include it.

Yeah, the comic should be ongoing, so that the readers have a reason to keep coming back. I also agree that when we have all our plots set out on the table in front of us, when we pick one, we break it down sentence by sentence the way Grapejuice suggested.

Yeah, and I also like the idea of doing a slice-of-life comic

Kind of like this?
A young Sylesti has found the thirst for adventure, but.... Mom and Dad won't let them go just yet. They need to finish Adventuring School first, which they have just been enrolled in. They meet new friends and learn great lessons about being the best they can be.
