I do apologize, I think what may have happened was when I went to click on the mission it changed right as I was going into it, because when I clicked it again, it was something different all together. ( I didn't realize they changed periodically, and had assumed they changed after you finished one out. ) So That was more of me not knowing how the system worked. >.< ;;

And since I am relatively new here I wasnt sure how to get back to HERE to fix the message without a ping ^^;;

So I apologize again for that mishap on my part.

Again though, thank you for the update ^^ I really appreciate the heads up instead of the being left in dark, you get sometimes with games likes these. < 3

Just a heads up, I'm going to be messing with some pet script stuff. This will be ongoing at least right now, specifically for Pet Hunger values, but also for other Pet related stuff possibly throughout the rest of today and even this week.

Our daily/hourly/someothernumberoftime scripts that update things like Health, Mana, Hunger, etc are starting to struggle due to us pushing almost 5 million pets now. So I'm going to have to rework how all these operate so that they can continue to work as intended.

So if you see your pets' hunger values temporarily drop or whatever - don't worry. I will make sure restore the values if not just set it to full hunger. Same goes with oddities to Health/Mana, etc when I get to that.

You may also experience random bouts of 5-10 second lag if I'm running and testing the scripts. All normal.


I apologize for the inconvenience and I will try to make this process as least impacting as I can.


Update: I think I should be done for now with this.

I realize that the Feeding daily tick did not properly run overnight. There was just an issue with the script. I'll continue checking it each day until it's working properly.

And pet stat update tick should be good to go now too. Seems to be working correctly and now should no longer have weird update issues.

Can you make it up to the point where the pets can talk and we can hear them?

I'm no Krin, but having pets with audible noises - even just ones like Pokemon - would probably be a major strain on the server. If you were to have them have lines of humanoid dialogue, as in a movie, that would be even more difficult - needing to hire voice actors, write dialogue, etc etc, as well as straining the server more for each set of lines. I doubt it'll be feasible, and I doubt many users would actually listen to their Sylestis enough for this strain on everyone to be worth it.

Edit: Also, this probably belongs in the Suggestions forum.

The error was a memory allocation issue. So it's very possible it partially worked until it ran out of memory and then ceased. I have no real way of knowing at what point in the script though it hit the memory ceiling.

That is good to know though and hopefully it will run w/o any issues tonight.

What happens if we didnt know a theme existed but made that theme in a different color scheme and traits
