He wouldn't risk drawing his gun with citizens around, shoving Miko away as one of the knives flew past his head.
"Put that device down."
The thickness in the air was making it difficult for him to focus.

(Central Plaza)
"Not a chance, Detective. Set your gun aside and neither of us will end up with an unfortunate accident." He tapped the earpiece, balancing the other knife on the tip of his fingers as he took a short drag of his cigarette.
"Good of you to finally check in. I've located the site of the distortion. ..But there's a small problem. Detective DeHaro and a few of friends have decided to crash the party."

Rei
(Rateways, leaving for the plaza)

She grimaced at the name...DeHaro..She knew it all to well.

"Great, so I have to drag your sorry tails out of trouble. You can't go through one mission without finding trouble can you?" She was clearly getting a bit heated as she spoke, but was able to gain composer after a few deep breaths. "...on my way, keep me informed until my arrival."

In a moment's notice, she had been fully armed and prepared. Unfortunately for the people in the plaza, she hadn't much respect for the average citizen. She was unafraid to get messy if it came to that. This was not what she was hoping for, but she knew her troop could handle themselves, so she wasn't too worried, just frustrated.

Backing up slowly she fough her instincts to let another vertion of herself handle the situation. The impulse she had feelt earlyer didn't help neather, leaving a slight tingling into her fingertips, whether it was the nervousity of what was happening or a direct manifestation of her power however, she cound't tell for sure. She lightly gasp in surprise when her back hit the wall and for a moment, her right hand light up in a soft green glow before she quickly extinguished the flame by shoving it in her coat poket before will-o-wisp could take over.

"Oh no, no," Liam whispered to himself, disappointed as the little bird flew away. He glanced down at his drawing before back up to where it was flitting overhead. He didn't know what kind of bird it was, but he watched its flying patterns from the bench, utterly distracted, and unaware of his surroundings. (Idk what he should do yet xD)

Odessa gave heed to the voice in her earpiece momentarily, but the energy she could feel springing over her skin was distracting. Was it the tense scene in the middle of the plaza that was setting her off? No, she decided, her fists clenching. This is different. The clouds overhead gathered together as she willed them to, and she felt a slight drip on her nose.
But then, something ran into her from behind. More like, someone.
"Watch it," she snarled, pulling away from the girl - her hand sliding towards her dagger hidden inside the coat. Another drip. Damn.

(have to refine Salvation Silence's objective once Rei pokes in but stuff to work out still, hm)

Maybe. He knew Rei's faith in him especially was limited, but if nothing else he considered himself to be reliable at making things happen according to schedule.
"Will do. Phase 1 is complete as of 3:42 pm. The others are in the area. I will relay a complete visual as I have one."

"DeHaro, DeHaro, DeHaro.. I don't know why that name of yours seems to rile Rosie so much. Guess I'll never really know."

DeHaro grit his teeth, scowling at the Kiyo and the blade still hovering above him. Whatever that device was, it seemed to have some sort of effect on the area. He had felt something similar before, but the situation was leaving it hard for him to put things together right now.

"Enough games. Hand it over and disengage."

"Or what, you intend to bring me into the station? There are no bars that can hold the Great Kuroda, Mr. DeHaro. And I certainly don't want to come across as being full of hot air, so if you want to keep begging for this. Then fetch, police dog."
He threw the device in the air, stifling a bit of a laugh as it broke apart on the ground in front of the crouched officer.
The distortion picked up behind him giving a shimmering blue to the air and causing his smoky knife to dissipate as he pulled himself onto a rooftop.

"Stay here, Mimi, I'm going after him."
DeHaro took off after Kiyoshi, ignoring the strange effect the plaza was taking before it distracted him again.

"Don't have to tell me, don't know how he can scramble that fast when my head already feels like fuzz." She shook her head and scooped up the pieces of the broken device, intending to bring it back into the station for analysis.
She needed to find Harvard and Mel. She trusted DeHaro's skill, but he had a tendency to always get his hands in too deep.
And whatever all this was, she didn't like the look of it.

Mikal touched his earbud. "Random guy, don't know his name as usual, totally dissing officers, I'm staying put thank-" He saw LUna nearby. "Crap." He groaned, unintentionally cussing and dropped his hand, avoiding eye contact with Lunara.


Luna watched the happenings, nervous about what was going on. She back away, trying not to run into anyone or anything.

Rei

She arrived on scene shortly after Kiyo hopped onto a roof. A few of her vines took her up there, placing her next to him. Once she was close enough, she whacked him in the head.

"All I asked was get some intel, and you managed to screw it up. Fill me in"

There seemed to be a good bit of chaos stirred up, making it hard to know exactly what she was looking at. Several civilians were visible and a few cops.

"Odessa, is that you with the weather? Whatever, I want fog and rain stat. Leah, get tabs on detective DeHaro and his little amigos, take Lyala with you. Mikal, work on getting to the source of the impulse," She instructed over the ear piece, turning to Kiyo.

"Kiyo, where is the source that I sent you here to find." She demanded with an 'I'll shove you off the roof if you don't give me what I want' face. Oddly specific, but that might just be what she was thinking.

Mikal ate his bagel, and started heading down the street to get to the impact area. Becuase....that's what he was supposed to do.]

He flinched, rubbing the back of his head.
"Must you? You know this isn't exactly the sort of thing that you simply drop in and take notes on." He motioned down to the sparkling blue stream below them that seemed to be centralized to a certain point in the air. "It's down there, right in front of where the old Oshiro yakinuki restaurant used to be-"
He also caught sight of DeHaro pulling himself onto the rooftop across from them.
"Should I deal with him for you? It won't take long." Kiyo said as he went for his lighter.

He went for his gun as he got himself up on the room before hesitating at the sight of Rei.

"Drat," Mel said to Harvard as she looked around with a scowl. "We've got trouble. You go see if Detective DeHaro needs help, I'll go see if I can help in other ways." She said as she scanned the streets for any sign of something suspicious. She kept her her ears on alert for any sounds, who knew when she would have to mimic a bird, or probably more usefully someone else.
