once the carcass is moved off my land, i get to work setting it ablaze, using my knife on the flint i keep in my saddle bag just in case. now that we've moved away from that spot in the forest, the animals seem more at ease, though still on edge.

Ella returned from work unhooking elliot and unlocking her door letting him in and taking off her tennis shoes going to the kitchen getting a glass of juice, elliot jumped on the counter and sniffed around for any crumbs from this morning breakfast before shaking his pelt and sitting down, ella petted him and decided to feed him when she makes dinner

"no problem" i say, glancing between the forest and my spooked animals. i',m going to go see if ella is back, the soil here is dry and there's no grass, the fire will burn it's self out" i climb into the saddle, spurring vega back to ella's house. she is happy to comply, wanting to be away from the forest as much as i do.

She cleaned the house and fed some other animals she was assigned moving past elliot who was obviously trying to get her to cook dinner, she shooed him out the kitchen starting to make food and turning on the oven, elliot rested on the window seal facing to the door so he can see if anyone was coming, the sun beamed on his face warming his coat as he looked at all the passing civilians

as i approach the house, i spot the smoke rising from her chimney, looks like she's home and using that wood burning oven pf hers again. personally, i prefer fires out in the open, but to each their own. dismounting and tying vega to the tree again, i knock on the door, with orion pacing at my feet as we wait for her to answer.

Elliot jumped from the window and went over to ella, "yeah yeah i heard it im coming" she said picking him up so he wont try to run out and walks up to the door unlocking it and poking her head out giving a small smile as elliot pawed the door and poking his head out to meowing like crazy , she set him down behind the door "hey sorry about him he's just hungry" she said

"it's fine" i say, pulling orion back so he can't try to play with the cat. stupid dog. "i just came to warn you, i found a cow carcass on my property, a ways away from my house. wouldn't have known it was there if it weren't for vega. just, keep an eye on your animals for now, ok?" i say, glancing around. the forest backs her house just like mine, she'd better keep an eye on that too.

"a cow carcass? i thought i locked all my animals up nut i dont carry big animals that can take down a grown cow not yet at least the only big cat i have is a baby panther locked up in the back and he isnt much of about 6 weeks old atleast and he will be transferred in a few more weeks" she insisted "but ill check out my stables and cages" she said as elliot looked from the window
