I go north, often checking the scroll to make sure I'm going the right way.

Does that mean you want to go north straight away and leave the Adventurer's Road? Or follow it and carry on to the Adventurer's Crossroads, maybe picking up some supplies and keeping to the road?

I look at Crimson, "What do you think should we keep going on the Adventure's Road or go on north?" I check the scroll again to see if there are any Familiar families close by.

When your tent is up, Balthur is already stirring a large pot of something over the fire. The Wyvern is curled up on the other side of it, watching the Centaur as he cooks the food, probably a soup or broth of some kind. The smell of herbs and spices floats over to you.

North, she says immediatly, before carrying on playing in the long grass.

You read the scroll, but other than the Northern and Southern territories, you don't know where the 'Howling Peaks' or 'Azure Valley' and such actually are.

That would be another bonus of going to the Adventurer's Crossroads... you could find a map or ask around, rather than going in blindly and finding out where they are when you get there.
