Thoughts on releasing:releasing is a very important part of this game, without releasing all our stables would be full, and what about project duds we dont want other people having? Thank god for releasing!

Thoughts on releasing: releasing pets is a good thing because there are sooooo many forgotten pets on sylestia and living in the wild is a much better life than being left alone in someone's stable, also before i knew about this club i would name random pets "freedom" in a bunch of different languages then release them if i didn't want them
Amount of pets released: 138 pets

Thoughts on releasing: It's really useful for clearing out stable space. I can simply release Sylestis I'm no longer interested instead of having to feed them every day. Especially for new players, releasing is important. At least for me, I used to scramble to catch any and every possible rare Sylesti I encountered. That ate up my stable space... fast. Once I entered the Spring Fest (the first festival I was here for), I realized that themed and epic pets exist... without releasing, I wouldn't have been able to fit any of the themeds I have today! Releasing is a crucial part of Sylestia <3
Amount of pets released: 570
Most unique pet I released:
^^My starter pet; I realized that there were more beautiful Draes out there, but this Storm will always be remembered <3

Thoughts on releasing: At first, I was like "No! Don't release them! They were happy!" Then, I realized, at an early point in my Sylestia life, that I didn't have enough gold to feed all my Sylesti. I felt bad letting them go to unconsciousness, so I began trying to sell them for one gold. Someone bought one and released them immediately. More curious than anything, I looked on their profile and found this club. The minute I read about this club, I realized it was almost just like something I tried to do earlier but failed: Create a better life for unconscious (buyable) Sylesti, but instead of giving them to another person, they'd be released. I liked the idea almost immediately.
So, to answer the actual question, I think that releasing should be done for many reasons: Make sure Sylesti live better lives, keep the gold economy stable, and to make Sylesti more valuable.
Thoughts on releasing: At first, I was like "No! Don't release them! They were happy!" But then I found myself in a situation were I was paying 2,000+ gold a day to feed them. So it was either let my project gold go down the drain, or get rid of some pets. Unfortunately, no one paid attention to the giveaway rules and asked for pets under the Personal tab. So I started selling pets at 1 gold. Someone (I'm assuming from this club) bought a purple puff from me and then released it. I was like, "Why didn't I think of that?" So I went to here to join you guys. Mostly because I feel bad for pets from users that can't be bought that are in forever sleep. So I want to help the ones that can be bought.
Amount of pets released: 132, I believe. Will be more.

Thoughts on releasing: I release my own unwanted pets about once a month (I quickly run out of stable space) and I wish more people would do that instead of selling for 1g. I think it's an awesome mechanic so that you don't end up with millions of sylestis that are worth virtually nothing, and it does really suck to see a bunch of unconscious sylestis that are just left up for sale. I can kind of see why people get upset, but ultimately if they sell their pets for a super cheap price, it's clear that they don't regard the sylesti as worth much anyway. I like to think that releasing benefits the players AND the sylesti. I'd like to join so that I have an actual reason to be releasing these pets instead of just being some random user doing it. (That got a little rambly, sorry!)
Amount of pets released: 81
(Also, I think you might still be waiting on a commission from me? Sorry about that, I've sorta abandoned that because of school. Let me know if you'd still like one tho! I'm sure I can find time)

Thoughts: I believe that on a game like this, releasing is a critical part of the economy. It prevents the overflow of 'dishwasher' pets and also nearly stat-less, no vis spacehoggers. Also without releasing project people would have little to no stable space. Besides, if you sell pets for 1g, you clearly don't value them. (unless it's a flash sale or a freebie or something)
Amount released: 369
(i've been looking for this thread for a looooonnng time lol)
