Xan goes straight down the right passage. "Don't touch any of those," she grumbles, nodding at the runes.

"Why? Do you know what they are? What is that one mean? Why are there so many?" Peyton babbles on, skipping along next to you, admiring with his eyes, not with his hands.
The runes pulse green occasionally.
"Why do they do that, do you know?" Peyton asks, pointing to the runes that pulsed green on occasion.

"Can you be quiet?" grumbles Xan, fighting the urge to reach out and touch one herself. "I don't know, but they look magical and that's probably not a good thing here."

Peyton looked a little hurt. "So I... am... not a good thing?" He took that a little bit personally, the whole 'magical probably not good thing'.
The runes increase the further you head along. It ends in a wall that has runes on it.

Xan sighs. "I mean, they're part of this stupid Labyrinth, so I wouldn't trust them if I were you." She stops in front of the wall, squinting at it.

"Oh, yeah... Makes sense." Peyton says and then continues talking on about a random subject.
The wall was covered in runes and moss, made up of stone instead of the other materials - like clay and such - the walls were usually made out of. A sword and a shield hung on the wall, the sheild having some coat of arms on it.The sword looked pretty regular.

Xan hesitantly pokes a piece of moss. If it doesn't explode, maybe she can throw it at the sword to see what happens.

She frowned at the chest. "What do you think the odds are that we have to get the chest." She asked Alex. She wondered if there was a way to talk to the humanist wasp, but that was probably just wishful thinking.

They could probably sneak past the guards but getting the chest would pose another problem.

The moss does not explode. It is a regular piece of moss - as far as you can tell, that is.

"According to my calcuations... Nah, I'm not that geeky. Um, pretty high I guess?" Alex guesses.
You could try to sneak past or talk, either way has pros and cons. If you snuck past, you probably would get caught before you could unlock the chest - even if you had a key.
The worst case scenario with the sneaking past is you get caught and possibly get stabbied with the wasps stingers. The best case scenario is you make it past.
The worst case scenario with the talking with the wasps is that they won't understand and keep an eye on you. The best case is they understand you and you might be able to get something that way.
