North, she says immediatly, before carrying on playing in the long grass.

You read the scroll, but other than the Northern and Southern territories, you don't know where the 'Howling Peaks' or 'Azure Valley' and such actually are.

That would be another bonus of going to the Adventurer's Crossroads... you could find a map or ask around, rather than going in blindly and finding out where they are when you get there.

I debate for a second then ask the Familiars, "Are any of you willing to guide us through the north to your family?" If they say no I am going on the Adventure's Road.

From behind a runestone, Shootingstar trots out. He bows his head for a second, before looking for your reaction.

"I take that as a yes,"I say, "plese lead the way."

He nods again, turning and heading into the grasslands.

The long grass provides hidey places for the still-wary creatures, the only evidence of them following being the unnaturally shifting and swaying brush around you. Crimson darts about, disappearing and reappearing where you least expect her. At least she's enjoying herself.

There isn't much cover from the sun for you, so you tire faster than you usually would. Shootingstar, seemingly realising you're lagging, stops for you to take a rest.

The sun is starting to sink towards the horizon, but there's still plenty of travelling time left.

I take a small rest then get ready to travel again, "Thank you for leading the way Shootstar."

He cocks his head to the side and flutters his wings before heading off again over the prairies.

You carry on until nightfall, when you're so exhausted you're starting to stumble over clumps of grass. Even Crimson has stopped running around and is now padding slowly behind you.

"How about we sleep for the night," I suggest while getting camp set up.

Shootingstar sits and watches as you set up camp.

You set up your tent but then realise that there isn't any wood out in the grasslands, so you can't make a fire. You should be fine though - lucky for you that Crimson still has fire in her. And Wild creatures are a lot more rugged than Higher creatures, so the others should be fine.

I go in the tent, "You all can come in the tent if you want."
